They are fine now. They have an okay Coach. Everyone has an okay Coach.
Saban isn’t walking through that door.
The closest Saban equivalent Kirby Smart isn’t walking through the door.
Would Bama really go on a Florida or Tenner firing spree hoping they can somehow hit the lottery again?

Could be worse I guess. Could be a fan of a team that lost to Jalen friggin Milroe multiple times.

Nothing lasts forever. Enjoy the run while it lasted.

In my experience Bama alums aren’t struggling as badly with their inevitable return to earth
Which isn’t too surprising

Only embarrassing if we as fans act like spoiled brats over a 9-4 season for a coach in his first year. Don't be one of those fans if you can help it because we have plenty of them.
Any Bama fan not expecting a significant drop off from the last 16 seasons wasn't being realistic. Any Bama fan that lived through the Dubose and Shula years from 1997-2006 knows it can be way way worse.
Alabama has about as good a successor to Saban as we could have hoped for under the circumstances. We'll just average 9 to10 wins a season instead of the 12+ a season we did under Saban and make the playoffs about once every 3 years instead of almost every year.
If Alabama goes back to the Shula days we'll just "live in the past" off of Saban this time instead of "off a dead Bear" as rivals fans like to put it....lol

You take this place and/or fandom too seriously if you let a game you have no input on personally embarrass you.

Michigan won with 190 total yards of offense.

Unless you were born in 2007, you should have wrote down how to deal with mediocre seasons. You weren’t alive thru the Mike Shula , Dennis Fran, Mike dubose years?

You don't know how to cope with it?? It's new years eve dude, get drunk for fricks sake. You still won 9 games

Losing Saban hurt more than I realized.
You lost the greatest coach in the history of the sport who put together the greatest dynasty in the sport, and one of the greatest dynasties in all of sports.
What the hell were you expecting ?

I’ve read a lot of absolutely absurd posts here, but damn. Have some balls in your life and don’t depend on 18-22 year old kids (with a 17y/o outlier) to make you feel better.

You know this guy is not a Bama fan. Has to be a troll. Crazy how many responses this thread got

Exactly…one of the greatest to ever coach any team in any sport. No way to replace that level of winning consistently.
Theyll get to experience what it’s like to be average and watch Kirby do what Saban did at GA.
