He said he reconsidered and decided that it wasn't in his best interest to transfer.

He was a regular in the rotation. Only reason it baffled some of us.

He’s likely to be the starting RT next year. It would have been a bad decision to leave.

Do you really think a Don like Saban gets his hands dirty like that?

Sounds like he realized was going to miss out on a national championship and that he was going to start at right tackle next season on another national championship team

This reminds me of when Sexton would leak a coach wanted to leave to get a raise out of the school.

Price of doing business these days, I guess.

Dont know this kid, but the portal really isn't good to most of the kids. I think it's like 60% don't ever get another offer. Might as well stick it out and get your degree while someone else pays for it.

That right there... I don't know the percentage either, and I'm not interested in looking it up, but it's a large percentage of the group.

Question for Bama fans. Will it bother you to know he gives zero fricks about your university and the only reason he’s out there is that he arm-twisted a pay raise? Just curious at what level CFB fans are cool with making the jump to being pro football bans.

That’s college ball in the 2020s. If you’re a big time program, the players are at your school because of the short term and long term value they add to the player.
