RT @ChrisLevel: #TexasTech's Thanksgiving matchup with Texas is expected to air on Fox Sports 1 -- game time has not been set.Chuck Carltonþ@ChuckCarltonDMN11h

This is only the second time in ESPN's existence that Texas' Thanksgiving Day/Weekend game was not broadcast on ESPN or ABC. The only other time was in 1994 due to A&M's probation.

SEC-related because ESPN seems to think that Ole Miss and Mississippi State is a bigger draw than Texas Tech at Texas.

I don't think it's a bigger draw but it is for sure the bigger rivalry.

They will be. No one outside of TX gives two shits about TX Tech and UT.

Most of the states in the SEC will watch the egg bowl to see one of those two teams fall on their face.

Texas has Mac Brown as head coach.

End thread here.

Cofrickingsigned.

The "tech problem" rears its ugly, misshapen head yet again.

I don't think Tech has anything to do with this. Dodds is trying to copy the "Notre Dame" model (always have your Thanksgiving weekend in a certain location). They are apparently rotating their Thanksgiving night game opponent so that it's always a home game.

That ship has sailed. Would rather play LSU that weekend.

This is more of an indictment of Texas Tech than Texas, IMO. There is very little if any interest nationally in Texas Tech. They are really only a regional interest team. Texas Tech just lost their head coach to Cincinnati... frickin' Cincinnati. The overall quality of matchups in the Big XII has gone wayy down since the departure of Nebraska, A&M, Mizzou and to a smaller degree Colorado.

Ole Miss and Miss State will draw better numbers even though it's a regional rivalry solely because of the SEC.

Oh, trust me, I know. I just think it's funny that this is happening on the year that tech is slated to go to austin. The whole "rotating opponents" thing is some shite anyway

But a sissy fight between two Mississippi schools is a big national draw?
