NB/CB/S Tyrann Mathieu

I'd say Corey Webster should be the corner opposite Peterson. Two shut down corners, a ridiculous nickel in TM, a big big hitter in Landry, and a 1st round talent in Reid is probably the best collect of secondary players from any school in the nation over that time frame

Having said that, I'd be tempted to replace Reid with Ryan Clark judging by his 12 year career in the NFL with the Steelers (I know Dinardo players get no love)

C: Matt Barnes

DE: Aldon Smith, Justin Smith

K: Jeff Wolfert
P: IDGAF
PR/KR: Jeremy Maclin, Brad Smith

LSU and BAMA would stand above the rest. Bama's LB Corp might be the greatest ever assembled but the d line and secondary isn't nearly as strong. I'm biased, but I don't think anyone moves the ball against the defense LSU would put together. The special teams would be better than everyone elses. All other positions would be a push between anyone you would line up against. Except for Cam Newton at QB.

You gotta have Kenny McKinley in there. Troy Williamson is a candidate, too.

Would have added Kenny ... but unfortunately he is no longer with us.

And thought about Troy ... first rounder and all, but seriously lacking the attitude for our all star team. Same reason I omitted Ko Simpson from the list when we really needed another FS. (see page two of this thread)

LSU D: TM7, PP7, Mo Claiborne, Laron Landry, Eric Reid as DBs. Mingo, Spears at DE. Dorsey, Brockers at DL. A few decent linebackers.

My God the talent there.....

Kentucky might be surprisingly good on offense:

QB: Tim Couch/Jared Lorenzen
RB: Artose Pinner/Rafael Little/Alphonso Smith
FB: John Connor
WR: Stevie Johnson/Randall Cobb/Craig Yeast/Keenan Burton/Derek Abney
TE: Jacob Tamme/James Whalen
OG: Kris Comstock/Larry Warford
C: Matt Smith/??
OT: Antonio Hall/Omar Smith/Garry Williams

Defense might not be terrible:

DE: Dennis Johnson/Micah Johnson (hybrid)/Bud Dupree??
DT: Myron Pryor/Corey Peters/Ricky Lumpkin
LB: Wesley Woodyard/Danny Trevathan/Jeff Snedegar/Micah Johnson (hybrid)
S: Winston Guy/Calvin Harrison/Marcus McClinton
CB: Trevard Lindley/??

Outside of CB, not awful I guess.

Texas:

Kenny Vaccaro
Aaron Williams
Earl Thomas
Aaron Ross

Miami:
Ed Reed
Kenny Phillips
Antrel Rolle
Sean Taylor
Brandon Meriwhether
Sam Shields
Brandon Harris
Phillip Buchanon
Devin Hester

Off the top of my head both of those schools have a better claim at DBU

He can be third behind Couch, the GOAT and Lorenzen, the FOAT.

Lorenzen was the best, man. Fat QB, wearing no. 22, sometimes impossible to sack. Throwing no-look over the shoulder interceptions to lose to Florida. An all-time Kentucky great.

The thing is we are basically making NFL teams with your schools best players. If some NFL team traded and fielded nothing but LSU or Bama players, NFL offenses will still be able to score on them. That being said, there would not be a single normal college team that could move the ball against that defense.
