Transferred to Buford HS in Georgia for his Senior year. Kid can deal. Kirby has an absolute machine rolling along in Athens.

Buford only recently moved up to 7A.
For shits and giggles, down votes from the dawgs fans but absolute truth....
Bowl Cut wanted his golden boy to play at two really big boy 7A teams in Gwinnett County. One of them has a 5-star wide receiver currently committed to another East rival.
He and his dad were told by the big boys that the kid had to compete and earn the starting job that it would not be handed to him.
He is at Buford.

Our enemies said the same thing about a recent walk-on who turned into a legend. Imagine what we're gonna be able to do with a 5 star QB ranked the #1 player in the country? Be afraid...

2024 Georgia QB competition will be two five stars and a four star.

5* (RS) Jr. Brock Vandagriff
4* (RS) So. Gunner Stockton
5* Fr. Dylan Raiola

There is literally no scenario where UGA does not have an elite QB talent starting in 2024.

I'm not sure what the troll angle is here. Maybe there is no troll angle, I'm just so used to seeing the troll angles here, maybe this is just a garden variety comment.

You are forgetting 4* commit Ryan Puglisi, an elite 11 contestant along with Raiola.

Not sure either...but I did read where in just a few moments of play Friday night, DR went 6-7 for 160 yds and 3 TDs without breaking a sweat.

That I did.

2 5*’s and 2 4*’s. There may be a couple of teams that capitalize on the transfers after that competition gets settled, but we’ll get our guy either way so IDGAF.

I wished the same thing, but when I watch him play against the starters he is just a tick slower than I expected.

Maybe its my eyes, but he doesn't jump off the screen for me like Fromm and Stetson did.

Unless Kirby pulls another Jake Fromm move and plays Carson beck based on seniority.

people seem really ignorant when they boil this whole situation down to one quick hitter headline like that.

-Fromm was thrust into action unexpectedly as a TFr in 2017 and performed admirably. He didn't shatter records but he performed about as well as anyoen could've expected, and he was a field general that truly commanded the offense. Oh, and that whole "won the SEC and led us to the NCG" thing. Also winning SEC FReshman of the year in the process. There is literally no way anyone with a brain would've benched him heading into the following season
-In 2018 we had an experienced Fromm coming off an award winning season and a talented TFr in Fields. EVeryone obviously knew fields was more talented and had a higher ceiling, but in the moment that is irrelevant. the ONLY thing that is relevant is "who can help me win football games RIHGT NOW". Early in 2018 taht was clearly Fromm, so he started.
-Fields did get some game action, and as you'd expect from a True Freshman he looked like a deer in the headlights most of the time. As is typical for young QBs with scrambling ability, at the first sign of trouble he woudl take off running. It often worked out ok but it was a clear trend that if the 1st read wasn't there he'd bolt.
-Halfway through the year he started publicly pouting to the media about only getting to hand the ball off. Kirby doesn't go for that shite.]
-Our season wasn't even over yet and he decided to transfer. I mean literally we still had games left to play and he had already announed he was leaving. Because he wasn't starting by the end of his true freshman season. He thought so highly of himself that because he wasn't annointed from day 1 he pouted and took his ball and went home. Kirby doensb't tolerate shite like that if you haven't noticed. Doesn't matter your position or your star ranking, you aren't going to be handed anything. And Fields didn't want to work, he wanted a handout.

People say;ign "oh man kirby really botched and mishandled the fields situation" simply don't know what theyr'e talking about. The situation was handled in the EXACT same manner as every other position battle since kirby's been her and he's seemed to do pretty alright.

To me it was a similar situation with Ewers at Ohio State. The kid came in and realized there was a pecking order to go through. He didn't want to sit behind Stroud so he packed up his stuff and left. It's todays world of college football.

I can't down vote because it appears to be stream of consciousness and hard to follow.
