Tell me this is satire.
If so, it’s funny as hell and shows dude has a sense of humor.

go to his firm's website. pretty funny stuff. It's like he used a template he paid $250 for, changed the contact information, and kept the stock photos

Those insurance companies don’t stay in business by paying out a bunch of risky multi million dollar payments.

Especially not ones shrouded in vagueries and open ended language.

right, which begs the question why players continue to pay $25k+ for said insurance policies. When you know collecting is about as likely as sustaining a career altering injury in the first place, seems like a waste of money to me. I'm basically saying they're all scams and hate how athletes are tricked into thinking they provide security.

Maybe there is a way to get the school to pay legally but not sure

Isn't that one of the things the NCAA allows schools to pay for, though?
So, really, the kids aren't actually paying for them - just accepting them on behalf of the schools. And the schools are willing to do it because it gives them cover and is "the thing" to do.

They can use the student assistance fund in some instances, but according to the article, just one policy could eat up 20% of the schools entire assistance fund, so I'd wonder if they supply the full amount given they have more than just one players who would need to make use of these funds, as they do have limits on how much they can spend in a given year to my knowledge.

And back to the original point. What is Moses’ dad trying to claim? That he should be paid because his draft projection dropped with the injury?

Lloyd’s of London is the same company several wrestlers used to use. I believe it’s who rick rude collected his payout from.

What i deduce from the letter is they are wondering if Moses doesn't get drafted in the top 15 (where he was projected when the policy was purchased), does the policy still pay out if he returns next year and doesn't go top 15? Probably some vague language (shocker) that talks about risk of future loss by returning to school after sustaining an injury that dropped his stock. Might be more financially beneficial to go to the draft this year, go lower than top 15, and then try to collect the difference than possibly voiding the entire policy by returning.
The letter is hilarious and, if real, not surprising from what appears to be your typical sketchy PI attorney. But, I've always thought these LOV policies are a scam.

That letter is so bizarre. It was written by his father as well. Makes it even more strange

I hope they aren’t paying that attorney too much, because using the word ‘negotiating’ that many times certainly isn’t beneficial to Moses

that attorney is his father, which honestly makes the letter even funnier
