There's no other way to spin it. There is nothing charming about lining your outfield wall with contraptions that you might see in the local trailer park in Oktibbeha County. Ole Miss and others passed you by over a decade ago in facilities.

So there it is. The last little pathetic dig at Dudy Noble before the.. ahem.. quant little stadium in Lafayette county is bettered in every way. How much did Oxford have to kick in to get Ole Miss' built again?

And don't worry. As a show of charity, we will donate all the trailer park contraptions to the actual trailer park next to campus in Oxford at the intersection of highways 6 and 7. If any is left over we can donate something to the residents of the community of "punkin water" that is nearby Oxford.

Nice Alter and attempt to deflect. I wasn't aware Starkville was the Madison of Northern Mississippi and had banned trailer parks. Nor was I aware Pumpkin Water was so far beneath the likes of Beth Eden, Palo Alto and Pheba. Now that your Alter has enlightened me I will pick up a cowbell and ring it for true grinders everywhere.....

Your whole athletic department is a dump. You can look at any article on the top college baseball venues and you will see DNF in the top 5.

You said it wrong. It's not pumpkin water. Say it like is on the water tower....punkin water.

And deflect? I did ask how much Oxford had to kick in to get om's built. Shall we ask the other sec schools how much their town had to kick in?

And the op started the trailer park talk. Only there is one next to Ole Miss.

Punkin Water.....with a nice slow Winona drawl....sort of recalls a time where neighbors joined each other on their front porch to enjoy conversation and glass of sweet ice tea if you ask me

Not sure why you bring up Oxford donating funds...has their been local public out cry over it because I haven't heard of any? If not then why is it a concern?

Well the OP is none to bright to bring it up then....but then again you aren't either if you think Starkville is sans trailer parks. The only thing saving you is the MSU campus was basically built on the outside of the old town away from any built up areas.

I love it personally. You don't see anything like that at any level of sports.

I've taken Ole Miss, LSU friends to sit on our lounge and every time I hear a variation of "Holy shite this is awesome" or "I wish we had something like this." The only people who think LFL is stupid or trashy haven't actually been. This makes troll posts very easy to spot.

Football... 1963 the last one...Kennedy hadn't been shot yet...

Men's Basketball...you have never won the regular season conference championship, those 2 you speak of are the conference tournament...

Baseball...2009...woohoo you were co-champs with LSU, prior to that you have to go back to 1977...

Who claimed those championships that Ole Miss claims. I think the NCAA claimed 1 and that was co-championship with Minnesota. I don't think the AP claims any of them.

None of those 3 they claim are from the recognized polls of that time which would be the AP and UPI...

Tournament championships are not "conference championships". The SEC Championship goes to the regular season winner. The tournament championship is a different title, and is not the conference championship.

Ditto. SEC Tournament championships are not SEC Championships.

I always enjoy when fans pick and choose when one is more relevant than the other.

A conference championship is still a conference championship. The SEC still gives a championship trophy for either one.

Didn't ole miss just "upgrade" V-H Stadium by adding metal bleachers in the end zone?

I've been to the LFL a few times and I can attest that something can be both trashy and fun at the same time.....and that's OK.

I think you guys only recently renovated the ground level bathrooms on your football's home field side so that you're no longer literally pissing on the walls.

You make fun of us for wearing bow-ties. We make fun of you for being redneck AF. We're still friends with other fans IRL and the world keeps spinning.

Winning the regular season championship is easily more prestigious than winning the tourney championship.

Let's get it back on track, stop discussing "fake news" and talk about how the LFL is going to be missed. Personally, I think it blended nicely and added "character" to an otherwise unremarkable campus but that is just my opinion.

A good measure of prestige is how much coverage it gets. Tournament championships get MUCH more coverage than regular season championships.

The NCAA doesn't give automatic tournament bids to regular season champs so that also argues against your point.

Here is the final say so.

Both regular season and tournament champions are in fact conference champions. It's not one of the other.

But not all championships are created equal. The regular season one holds more weight than any weekend or week long tournament.
