The rumor is not true. His buyout is pretty high.

One of the few spots in the country that would be a better fit for Kiffin than Ole Miss. but I do not think this is even remotely a thing.

His buyout did change. It’s somewhere between $10m-$15m. Didn’t say they wouldn’t pay it, just saying the rumor is wrong.

I personally am leaning toward it not being true, but I don’t think he is choosing Ole Miss as his forever home and considering his track record it doesn’t seem too far fetched an idea that this would be a move he’d be willing to make.

For leaving or getting fired? I’ve never heard of a coach having that large of a buyout for leaving for another job. It wouldn’t shock me if he had a non-compete clause for other SEC jobs though
