Try to still be conscious by the end of the 1st quarter.

Do they play Boomer Sooner as often as Tennessee plays Rocky Top? Like, if Bob Stoops scratches his arse, BOOMER SOONER!

I don't think it's possible to play it anymore than UT does Rocky Top. Although, I think it's fairly close. I wonder if their bands have a contest to see who can play the songs more during a game.

Drink whenever the "Million Dollar Band" performs like the "2 Dollar (Confederate) Band. Actually don't I want any of my fellow posters on therant to die, be they Bama fans or not. I don't know what can be done be we have the worst overall SEC band when it comes to being a band that is supposed to be an integral part of the Football program.

The best college football marching band, is the one that goes mostly unnoticed outside of the fight song after a touchdown and a cool filler song every once and a while. I am glad Alabama plays more piped in music at BDS.

it's unreal how often they play boomer sooner. they'll probably play it even when bama scores.

But UT, ATM, LSU, all blow ours out of the water. Not a huge fan of Marching Bands but they are still an integral part of College Football. If we are going to keep ours though, some major changes need to happen. The Million Dollar Band absolutely blows.

drives me nuts and it blows my mind why any kid would choose to suit up and play under that

With Oklahoma I would say most of them would shrug their shoulders and say the pay was pretty good.

Don't worry, Vandy has the "Worst Band in the SEC" wrapped up by far. It is by far the most embarassing thing I've ever seen, including going 2-10. It's a joke.

If I want piped in music, I'll go watch the nfl. Marching bands are awesome college traditions,

They aren't that awesome. Hells Bells on a 4th down play while Bama is on defense is cooler than the MDB playing anything.

Completely disagree.

Just because you think Bama's band sucks (there are plenty worse), doesn't mean marching bands aren't awesome traditions.

If you are a Band major in college, Oklahoma is the school to go to; as you only have to learn "Boomer Sooner".

Pre game "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma takes the field "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma gets a good return "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma makes a first down "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma makes a good pass "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma makes a good run "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma scores "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma kicks off "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma makes a stop on defense "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma forces the other team to punt "Boomer Sooner"
Oklahoma water boy goes on the field "Boomer Sooner"
etc.

A better drinking game is to drink whenever Alabama scores.

You'll be passed out 10 minutes in.

Or drink when OU scores. You can be the designated driver.

More often. Hard to believe but true. During the Big 12 Championship Game their stupid Sooner wagon got stuck in the middle of the field because the horses refused to move (and good luck getting them to move if they don't want to) and they played Boomer Sooner for about 10 minutes straight while the male cheerleaders tried to push the horses into moving. If it wasn't snowing and 5 degrees it would have been kind of funny. Plus, it was five minutes in and Mizzou was already down 35 if I recall.
