Unlike Tennessee, who actually saves Rocky Top for when they do something good, the OU band will play Boomer Sooner when their third clarinet announces he has to take a piss.

Worst band in conference is Vandy. Usually largest is Georgia. Best is LSU with Auburn closing in at 2nd. A&M wins the traditional card and cleanest drill award. I still love me some Famous Maroon Band and they have improved a lot in the past 8 years.

I agree with this, but The Golden Band has taken a step back. Still good but nearly as good as they used to be. Has alot to do with this new band director. Now I hat admit it, but A&M might have the best band there is.

Vandy never got the memo from Stanford and Rice that nerd schools are supposed to let their bands go rogue and just be funny.
An ugly game with UT is rough with "Rocky Top", I remember the '04 Cotton and it seemed that it played the entire game. I actually kind of liked the song before that.
Boomer Sooner is still worse though because it is just so damn repetitive. It's just the same few notes over and over and over and they play it constantly.
If UF ever plays OU OOC though I think their fans deserve a medal. No one should ever have to be subjected to the bands of UT, OU, and FSU with their stupid war chant in one season.

Try to still be conscious by the end of the 1st quarter.
But by the second half ya'll should sober up - they probably won't get a chance to play it much after halftime.
