They get pile driven by Tulane if they didn't play their atrocious back up

Yet Tulane scored as many touchdowns as LSU did on Florida's defense even with their backup.

Tulane had no chance yesterday. Final score was 33-8. LSU was tied with Florida entering the fourth quarter, final score 27-16. No comparison.

When the alternative is Brian Kelly, we are in for Billy

I'd rather BK who wins over 70% of his games vs a guy who's hovering around .500 but to each his own.

LSU used to care about playing Florida.

Jackson is a needed depth piece and you know you didnt want to lose Pyburn.

Neither of the players you took are special. Jackson was burnt several times this year and Pyburn isn’t a good pass rusher. LSU is rearranging deck chairs.

Jackson is an SEC level starter and Pyburn is a decent player. Both can contribute and play well, but they certainly are not elite

The problem is you didn’t pay depth money. Thats why they aren’t at UF. Would have loved to have Pyburn back as a first and second down player, he wanted 3 down money. Jackson will probably be your best corner though. Good luck.

Meh, rumors are rampant in the NIL era, most aren't true.

Flexing when you’ve lost 10 of last 13 and finally win one at home. That’s how low Florida has fallen.

Pyburn was loved by the staff, he made it clear he didn’t want to play in a three man rotation. This isn’t speculation. You paid him starter money and he is going to be great on first and 2nd down.

I know what we offered and I know he didn’t come there for less. He grew up a Gator.

Well we know what he requested from Florida, and given that he's a local kid and a lifelong Gator fan (and someone who was beloved by the staff), it's reasonable to infer that the number he requested from us didn't come from his arse.

Maybe.

But often when a player leaves, the former team's fanbase and media spins all sorts of tales to make excuses for the player's departure.

I'd say Jackson is the real loss. If Pyburn extracted from LSU the playtime demands he wanted from Florida, you might be annoyed by the end of next season. He's solid against the run though. It's just out of 40 sacks on the team, he had 1...as an edge...with 350 snaps or so.

Whoever gets TJ Searcy is the team getting a quality edge player.

Pyburn didn’t want to leave he wanted UF to match the number he got from his previous coach Spencer at A&M. UF said no you aren’t worth that. I’m assuming LSU got close or he would be an Aggie. Not hard to put the pieces together.
