What he said could have meant any number of things. Sure, you could draw conclusions that it meant something about NIL. You could draw just as many saying it didn’t.

Okay, Tiger Rant.

Meanwhile about 10 other schools are way more “all in” on NIL and they say nothing about those schools. Your bias is showing.

Again, and I’m not sure how many times this has to be posted, this attention A&M is receiving is pretty much solely due to the nature of Jimbo’s press conference. Go watch it again if you’ve forgotten how he acted, only to have this video surface a couple weeks later.

He directly said money. It was not a vague reference and there is nothing to suggest otherwise. He flat out told those players they would get paid money.

If A&M tries to make the claims that he meant something else, it's just going to increase the punishment and merit towards a lack of institutional control.

You can sit around in denial all you want, it's not going to change anything.

You can say I'm biased, it's not going to change anything either. If you want to make a thread about another school doing NIL things and their fans make excuses, point it to me and I'll tell them the reality as well.

It will be multiple because there is the actual level 1 infraction in itself with the video, and then it will also trigger a lack of institutional control because it was a coach doing it.

It's foolish to pretend the dude didn't get caught on camera committing an NCAA violation at this point though.

Pointing out a veritable fact isn't an offer, it's simply an observation od reality. Now if he actually made an offer of cash to them, then you'd have something. Again, buncha butt hurt from the usual suspects.

Are you the guy who tried to tell us that Eastern Michigan University publicly offered to pay a player?

You've got me confused with someone else. I could care less is EMU bought an entire team.

“money”. oooh, “MONEY” !!!!!!! That’s the stuff the Supreme Court said should be paid to college football players when the Court said scholarships and facilities were not enough.

And niw we have someone saying there’s a lot of rich fans ready to pay them some. why thats almost unAmerican.

A part time lawyer could get the kid off from that statement just by simply saying he was referring to those seats pay for Athletic scholarships which are highly valuable, or by simply saying he was pointing out an anecdotal fact,

Even you're not that fricking stupid.

No, that is not what the supreme court ruled at all.

Aggies sure were piling on Will Wade - just to turn around and pull this stunt.

I mean Will was the head coach, that should be treated differently.

From Jimbo's confessions to this staff member promising illegal bribes, it is obvious that A&M needs to be removed from the SEC.

I wasn’t necessarily equating the two infractions - simply pointing out the irony of the mental gymnastics required to come to the conclusion of “he could have been talking about (fill in the blank),” which is exactly what LSU fans did for the better part of 4 years.

Aggies hate the truth.

So.

Much.

Let's look at the actual facts:

quote:

In a 9–0 unanimous decision, the Supreme Court upheld the lower court’s decision that NCAA restrictions on “education-related benefits” for college athletes violated antitrust law. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion in favor of the plaintiffs, albeit a narrow decision dealing only with education-related benefits and not the larger issue of pay-for-play or other big-picture issues with college athletes. And there was language the NCAA has since claimed as a “win” for itself: It was still free to create limits on benefits unrelated to education.
