Mike Riley stiff-armed Alabama twice, supposedly because his wife wanted to live in more "refined" areas of the country. I'd be sure surprised if he went to Ole Miss.

I think Leach would be great at Ole Miss if they can deal with the baggage he brings.

Leach is pure scum IMO, but he is a winner.

Riley is a Bama guy and loves Corvallis. He won't leave unless he's fired or he retires.

while i agree he may not have a job if this season continues to go to hell. idk if osu would fire him but why not start anew at OM? OSU doesn't look like it will be getting any better, probably the contrary after they lose rogers and katz

He won't be fired and he won't leave Corvallis. He loves it there. He has said leaving OSU for the chargers was a huge mistake and he wish he never left in the first place.

I think AU goes to ECU's OC to replace Gus.

AU will never go back to the Mumme school of offense.

I can't see him leaving here unless it's for a head coaching position in the SEC imo.

I wonder. Is it easier to get a big time head coaching job as an OC at an SEC school or as a HC at a lower level school? It happens both ways, but I wonder which could make it happen quicker.

Getting to the Mumme connection by going through Leach?

Neither are leaving. Alabama went after both in previous coaching searches. They are West Coast lifers. Riley is even an Alabama grad, and he wouldn't leave Corvalis. Granted it was during a bad time he was being courted.

Riley was at Texas Tech under Leach for 7 years before going to ECU.

I'm aware. That's why I mentioned his connection to Leach. I just don't think most people continue to consider that the "Mumme" offense. Most now view it as Leach's offense b/c it was better under him than it ever was under Mumme.

The reason I said Mumme instead of Leach was to include Tony Franklin. They were on the same staff at UK, where they were coaching Mumme's offense. That's all.

I'm sure they do, but the better question would be does he give AU a look at OC. I think the answer to that is no. He's a rising commodity in coaching cirles. He'll be a head coach somewhere decent by 2013 if no sooner.

I think AU goes to ECU's OC to replace Gus.

I think they would go after Clemsons OC. He has got to know that DS can not keep it up at CU for the long term.
