That's certainly news to the two top receivers that got injured.
In the CFP CG? Because that’s what I referred to

Well that is just poor staff work. Maybe if they were more concerned about winning a championship than padding stats for individual rewards and higher draft picks, they would be counting another national championship.

UGA needs more than that. Hell, they couldn’t even win the SEC last season.
Nah. We've won the SEC before. Last season was the first time in awhile we won the National Championship. I don't care if we never win the SEC again if we win titles regularly.

Seems like every year somebody says it was a down year in college football. Just because somebody says it doesn't make it true.
"What if somebody said 2019 was a down year for college football....if not LSU would not have dominated."
Exactly what are the parameters for deciding if it is an up or down year in college football? I suspect it hinges on whether or not a favorite teams wins the title.

They should win, but the new coach there was UGA's d coordinator for the last few years, and he knows them well.
And we know Lanning well, it goes both ways

They also needed to be their healthiest in the NC game while Bama was its unhealthiest.

weak
You must not watch many of their games. Bama was no where near 2020 level last year or any other year they won a title. The OL was complete garbage outside of Evan Neal, injury depleted RB corp, and inconsistent in the middle of the defense most of the year. No return game at all in Special Teams. They were down relatively.

The whole ‘Bama down’ pussy arse excuse is so fricking tired. Bama was in the CFP championship game. Down? weak

Most certainly not. They have that complete stud of a quarterback that can carry them just like Bryce young or CJ Stroud could

I mean Clemson didn't even play for the ACC and Ohio State didn't play for the B1G (and lost to Michigan for the first time in forever).
Bama was clearly a down team, despite their record.
They only beat 6-7 Florida by two, 6-7 LSU by 6, and should've lost to 6-7 Auburn.

Actually, I watch all of their games. Bama had some holes, like they do every year save maybe 2 or 3 of the past 15 years.
Are you one of those fans who think Bama can beat NFL teams every year except for when they lose the CFP ?

It had nothing to do with fair. It had to do with the NC game coming down to the last minute with so many Bama starters out after Bama blew Georgia out with most of those players.

Geez baw, less than 2 weeks from the start of a new season and you're still complaining about injuries in Indy?

It's really strange that Kirby's teams have managed to get blown out at least once every single season he's been at UGA despite that stat.
Alabama has given up more than the 34 that UGA gave up in the SECCG this past year (7 of the 41 was a pick 6, not the defense) in 2 games in 2021, 2 games in 2020, 2 in 2019 and 2 in 2018.
It's odd you think one game somehow makes the defense bad considering your team generally has a couple awful defensive performances each year.

And yet they beat AU bad. As usual
