It's more important than a National Championship?

Dude, yes it does.

Seccg and national championships just don't get old. They don't mean any less especially to each new team, and definitely not to me as a fan.

I have been stoked ALL morning about that SECCG win. Can't WAIT to chat football for water cooler banter tomorrow.

Most Bama fans are looking for a National Championship rather than an SEC championship

Finally an honest answer.

SEC is the best conference in the country by far. Winning the SEC is awesome and a huge accomplishment especially this year.

It's really not that big of a deal for Bama anymore. Go across the river whip up on Kirby and come back home.

2022 rinse and repeat

Winning the SEC is very important to Bama fans. It always sets us up for bigger things. If you win this league you will get IN! The SEC has that much cred.

Absolutely. It can be more challenging to win the SEC than the CFP. But it’s always special. No matter what.

Don’t be dumb. Of course it does and it always will. In years that it doesn’t happen, it isn’t a death knell though. Just as not winning the Iron Bowl isn’t necessarily the end of the season. Good things can still happen like getting into the CFP and winning it against Georgia in 2017-18.

I still enjoy every win, no matter who it’s against or how big the stakes are.

I’ll never forget losing to Northern Illinois (typing that made me cringe), and realizing that if Alabama beat anyone, they were lucky. That’s how bad Alabama was.

I remember watching Spencer Pennington throwing the ball to literally anything in the stadium other than our receivers. Brodie getting his knees replaced after every game. Some qb named Guillan(?) who was basically a mannequin behind 10 other guys. Darby up the middle. Kines as an interim during a not-so well deserved bowl game getting shitkicked.

So yes, it’s still important and it’s still fun. It’s fun being on the other side for once.

Are you for real? This whole topic is insane.

Do you expect any real Bama fan to say, "Why yes....we hate winning the SEC....it such an inconvenience to travel to Atlanta during the holiday season"
