Obviously I'd aim higher and wouldn't be shocked if we surprise some, but there's to many unknowns to discount the possibility of being average the first season or two.

I mean, it took aggy like 7 years to consistently be above average. I think it's fair it should take UT around 2-3.

They think they will, but they won't. There is more than one other team in this conference, and most of us play defense.

You seriously believe it's only Bama you have to worry about? You're in for a very rude awakening.

Kind of hard to be a Florida fan and talk shite to Texas because you've never beaten them.

So you’re asking if Texas thinks they’ll play for an SEC title in year 3, and win their division 4 times over 29 years?

My honest opinion…Texas has a lot of work to do and we will see where they are in week 2. Hogs return 19 starters and it should be a good game. I think aTm has had a better entrance into the league than Texas will have through about 10 years.

Hey man, aggies have been battered more than usual this past week. Trying to be a good big brother here and give the benefit of the doubt.

Aggie has finished at or below .500 in conference play in 6 of their 9 years in the SEC.

They haven't been able to string two consecutive winning seasons in conference play together as of yet. We will see if they can achieve it in 2021.

Arkansas is fine. Made the Elite 8 in basketball.

If you’re going to shite on someone, shite on South Carolina.

... I don't think Texas or Arkansas can really shite on South Carolina when it comes to recent Final Fours - men's or women's basketball.

2017 seems a bit more present day than 2003 or 1995.

Gamecocks have more football wins than Texas since USC's SECCG season in 2010. Carolina also has more SEC football wins than Arkansas since 1992.

then there's the whole Omaha CWS record win streak of 22 straight the Gamecocks own on the way to 2 National Titles - both more recent than Texas' 6 overall and Arkansas' ...well ~

Texas is the new Tenn. Desperately trying to hold on to glory while drifting further into irrelevance every year

Both would finish in the top 5 of the big 12.

Don't think we have ever played them. Not in my 40 years at least.

Yes. Texas thinks they will come in here and within a couple years own the conference.

But just because they think it doesn’t make it so.
