Why is Fulmer even in the running? He's never been an AD before. The guy at UTC has more experience.

Is this some Auburn type of homeboy hire bull shite?

Doug Dickey had never been an AD when he was hired and that worked out great. And like others have said, he has done great working with ETSU to get their program up and running.

The Tennessee AD needs more Tennessee people right now. Phil is a perfect fit

Doug Dickey made one hire in football, where he just promoted in house, and his job handling the basketball program was so bad it was almost malpractice. Phil has already proven to be bad at hiring coaches. He will flop miserably and UT fans who support his hiring will deserve it.

Ohiovol, we get it, you don't like it. But your opinion doesn't matter, so stop whining.

They need to go ahead and hire Finus Gaston or Marie Robbins. We don't need to be too long after old Dave leaves without some of our folks calling the shots.

None of our opinions matter. That's why we are on message boards.

May as well give Phil a shots since what y'all have been doing hasn't worked very well.

JMHO, I don't think there's ever been a question that Phil is a UT guy and he will worked his arse off to make UT better. If he hires a solid support staff and a few advisers he may do fine.

Exactly. He will be great with donors and fundraising(he's already been doing this with the president) just surround him with good people and he'll do fine

You guys need to take it to the next level and "steal" Alleva from us. I'll throw in F King and he can go on and on about how smart he is and how sports need to be put in there proper place.

Then give him a figure head role and let him raise money. Don't let him have any actual decision making power.
