Fulmer would make a disastrous AD. I'd rather just not hire one for another 6 months.

If it's not going to be Blackburn, then bring me Big Phil. I am OUT on Jon Gilbert or any of these other names that have been brought up.
If anything, Fulmer would be amusing and he would probably make it his life's work to make sure Alabama gets put on on probation again.

Why is Fulmer even in the running? He's never been an AD before. The guy at UTC has more experience.

Even the anti-Philbillies know Fulmer did a ton to get ETSU football back up and running since his VOLS exile and he would would probably be the best fundraiser of any potential candidate. I'm not saying he's some lock to be a home run but Fulmer hasn't just been sitting on his big arse eating krispy kremes since Tennessee ran him out of town.
He still has a ton of support from some of the VOLS mega boosters.

NO.
The people who keep saying he would be some great AD because he loves UT are mistaken. He would never do anything which would make his own firing look justified. He would be perfectly happy to have Tennessee go 9-4 each year and would try to convince our fans that's all we should hope for.
Also, there's no way Phil is ever getting fired. If Phil is AD, get ready for AD sanctioned mediocrity in football along with basically ignoring the other sports until Phil retires or dies.
