We are now just piling on. (Which he deserves).

But props to Darkhorse for showing up and at least trying to defend his delusional predictions.

Most other Dawg posters from the past 8 months have fled the board in terror and humiliation.

Props darkhorse but I would have to think engie would be here too if it wasn't for unknown reasons and coonassbulldog too, if we had not found out about his interesting "story" involving keys and taco bell lol he just pops up every now and then to reafirm us of the impending doom of ole miss via death penalty lol

Was obvious we had the ability to beat OSU. We started out great. Controlled the clock. TR completed 6 out of 7 on the first drive. Our defense showed up.

What baffles me is the total commitment to run the ball. After that first drive, we called 12 rushing plays out of 15. Ran it until they were loading the box.

Point is, MSU fans very where have had it. Mullen felt the heat with the DC last year and is already feeling it with the play calling now.

Will he change early on in the season or try to wait it out and take over the play calling?

It would be a disaster if Mullen tried to turn his offense into a passing offense.

MSU caught OSU at a time with serious QB issues...and couldn't capitalize. 3 points against Oklahoma St? Not looking good.

I love the part about how the OP knows something that no one else does, which will ring in material changes.

I just don't think Mullen has very good instincts. I think he is one of those theoretical football minds where things work out great on the chalk board but his timing in the game is just shitty. And State just looks like they know they're going to lose. Body language has been terrible with that team for 2 years.

State was dominating that game for most of the first half. They had the talent to keep up with OSU. It's just like they were scared as hell something good might happen. That QB Russell looks so good at times but man he puckers up quick on important downs. It's like he gets wide-eyed and can't function.

Look I consider myself a 'realist' fan. I try to look at things as objective as I can. I really think Mullen is a loser. He gives up. I think he thought it would be easy like it was with Urban at Florida and he found out that while he can maintain 6 wins a year, he wont ever win the SEC like he thought he would. He gave up against LSU a couple years ago and has never got his 'swag' back. A state friend of mine and I were talking last year after the Bama game. Some of you may remember, At the end of the game, Todd Blackledge was talking about talking to Mullen before the game. He said Mullen said that "while the Alabama game was important, the A&M game the following week was probably more important." Think about that... State was 7-0 and ranked in the top 10. Bama was the number 1 team in the country.. That was the most important game of your year, hands down. Probably one of the biggest games in your history.. You win that game and you're a top 5 team with a legit chance at a BCS game. But instead of thinking like that, he was conceding the game BEFORE THE GAME even started. He knew you would lose and that the A&M game was important because it would be a bounce back game.. Now there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with saying that AFTER the game because it was true... BUT he said it BEFORE the Bama game even started. He knew you would lose... A team takes on the character of its coach and I honestly feel like your coach is a loser. Players end up being the same thing..

Now Mullen has done great things for your program. He brought you out of the Croom era and laid a solid foundation. I just dont think he's the coach to get you over the hump. good-solid coach but not a championship coach. He could very well turn out to be and I could be wrong but my buddy who heard him say that also, was pissed. He thinks the same thing about him. good coach but nothing great.

I dont understand why State fans keep saying this. You guys are so 'in-the-know' you should know that Mullen calls the plays already.. Keonning is the scapegoat. A 'yes' man to Mullen. If you honestly think that getting rid of Keonning is the answer to your offensive problems then you're crazy. Keonning has been by Mullen's side for years, I'm sure they bounce plays off of each other but Mullen calls the plays.. He has the entire time in Starkville. I dont know how yall dont know that.

If you really believe that Keonning sent in that 4th and 15 play without Mullen 'knowing' or 'approving' you're crazy... Mullen calls the plays, always has. You could fire Keonning today and your playcalling isnt gonna change.

What is Mullen's specialty? Offense right?? and you dont think he calls the plays? Crazy..

I do agree that Dak needs to play. Hes mobile and gives the threat of the run. Mullen's offense is tailored around that and the offense would be alot better if Dak was the guy. He's not as good as TR but he would be more productive in your system. Playcalling wouldnt change though.

Anyway, just my thoughts and I promise, not a flame at all.. Hell I was pulling for State against Ok State and even said I predicted you to win several times on here. I never thought yall would play as bad as you did

Not in a pissy mood at all. Don't need to read a newbie's view on something that is written in a 1000 words when 15 to 20 would do.

You may not have seen this, but, in the ESPNU profile, during the all-team meeting, Mullen was talking about staying focused. One of the situations he used as an example was, "when we lose," coming back and winning the next game. "When we lose." When I heard that, I thought, this guy doesn't believe in his team. And, what's worse, he's telling his team he doesn't believe in them.

Would you want to play for that guy?
