If AJ gets Colt McCoy'd does Bama stand a chance?
*The guys on the Roundtable are saying AJ is already injured so how many more hits can he take from LSU's D?

We'd still have a better D, OL, WRs, so probably.

Then we'd basically be LSU, so it'd be a tossup.

I would love to see us grind you down using the read option

No chance. LSU rolls in that scenario

Probably not against LSU. Don't underestimate AJ's value to this Alabama team.

Sims has shown flashes and he has a strong arm but saying all that and him performing in a big game are two different things all together.
I think we would still win, but would have to rely even more on our defense and running game than what we already do.
But we don't have to worry about that b/c a simple love tap won't keep AJ out of this game as it did that pussy colt.

Give the edge to LSU on defense and special teams

I don't know, but as a fan/spectator, my heart skips a beat every time I see AJ get banged up. He is the glue to this offense, he's smart and he directs his offensive players pretty well. He doesn't make stupid decisions that could lose the game.
I hope no one on either team gets injured. I look forward to LSU putting their BEST up against Bama's BEST and see what happens.

It would be interesting, but its hard to say whether or not we would win or lose in that scenario.

Could be like first game last year. Ya'll prepared to defend A.J. and then Blake Sims comes in and runs the read option on you. Like when Bama prepared for Lee and got JJ in the first game.

LSU's defense is the reason they've only lost 1 game this year. . . I mean they beat JFF and he's better than Cam & Teabow combined

You realize you just touched on the unthinkable for Bama's title hopes, yes?
If you caught Moscona's show the other day- and I'm sorry that I don't remember the guest's name- a guy from CFN basically said if LSU knocks McCarron out of this game, he believes Bama wouldn't have a chance to win.
He also insinuated that (and I'm paraphrasing) that Saban 'encourages taking an extra step towards the QB', and that LSU should return the favor. Moscona quipped that perhaps they shouldn't discuss things like that, 'in light of what the Saints just went through'....
I'm certainly not in favor of them intentionally hurting the kid- honestly. But I do believe if AJM is a little banged up going into this game (as some suspect), there is a chance LSU could make things hard on him, certainly.
