This is inexcusable for any FBS team, let alone a P4 team. I like Fran Brown, but man, that is just terrible.

No, but Bama never should have been ranked behind them to start with.

I think both Bama and Notre Dame should both make the playoffs.

Miami has 2 conference losses in a weaker than usual ACC….. this is why they probably won’t make it into the ACC championship game. They lost to a 3 loss SMU and a 4 loss Louisville.

If Miami doesn’t make it to the ACC championship or the College Football Playoffs, it’s their own fault.

Notre Dame shouldn’t be ahead of Vandy much less Bama.

They have a marshmallow schedule outside of the 2 tough games they had and lost.

They’d be no better than 6-4 with Oklahoma’s schedule

Their starting QB threw 9 passes and was out after the first drive of the second half. They certainly didn’t try to run up the score; to the contrary they did everything they could not to run up the score. But otherwise really good post.

Their starting RB had only 8 carries.

He went for 160 yards and 3 TD’s

Alabama should move to #1 based on that impressive win over E Illinois yesterday.

ND lost two close games to top 15 teams. Bama lost one close to a top 15 team, but also lost by two touchdowns to a terrible team. It’s not that hard to understand.

This would make sense if they had comparable win résumé’s. They don’t.

Everyone was assured wins would have a greater emphasis, but the committee has shown that is a farce given anyone defending ND points to losses, not the wins

ND's best wins are losses.
SOS is one thing, but you have to win some of those games for it to mean anything.

Notre Dame’s two losses to teams with a combined record of 20-2 is better than Bama’s loss to a 5-6 team. The OU loss was ugly because y’all beat them in every statistical category

No mention of any kind about wins. This is exactly what is wrong with the committee.

No

If anything, we'll see Oregon move to #5

Miami might jump Utah

but probably won't get much movement...maybe later down the rankings. North Texas and James Madison might actually appear

They looked bad in both of those games, especially on Defense. They made Marcel Reed, who isn't even that good, look like Johnny Manziel, and they got torched by a true freshman WR and Carson Beck, who isn't anything special.

Auburn lost a bunch of 1 score games to good teams, so should we put them in as well?

I’m still trying to wrap my head (and football soul) around the fact my Tigers’ best win is 13-10 over Western Kentucky which is 8-3.

Regardless of teams, this is exactly what is so objectionable about the football playoff committee: Cherry picked talking points that seem to throw the most important points they're supposedly considering out the window.

Can you imagine the basketball selection committee (for all the complaints) saying something like:
"We realize UCONN actually has 3 times more quality wins than Illinois, but their FT% isn't great so we're ranking Illinois higher"

Not saying they should be ranked higher than Bama but that was 3 months ago. Good teams progress and get better. ND is a perfect example. Same as last year. The team now is nowhere near the team they were at the beginning of the year particularly at QB play and on defense. At least to this point. Watch them play or look at the stats
