Knoxville is better around the stadium/campus, Athens is a better town but thats not a very high bar compared to Knox. I do think Athens is overrated though, but my taste in college towns is admittedly weird so that doesn't mean a lot. I like that Starkville is in the middle of no where, for instance

Knoxville is both more walkable, convenient and X100 prettier than Athens. Anyone who disagrees is a UGA homer.

Let's face it, most people form their opinion of a college town based on whether they got laid there or not. I guess we know the answer with General

Honestly i didn't even want to go out after realizing you are forced to pay sky high uber fares or drink and drive to go anywhere even 5 mins away. Where are the taxis in that shithole?

Like i said, nothing is walkable there from the campus really without a 20 to 30 minute trek at least. Total inconvenient shite hole.

They just had a bad day. They'd win a rematch.

That's your excuse, right?

My thoughts exactly...... I like small college towns., with the prettiest and neatest college town I have visited is State College, Pennsylvania. BEAUTIFUL. The area around the UG campus is not that impressive but I like Sanford better than Neyland.Neyland is just a big bowl with no character. Knoxville, besides the river and a view of the distant smokies, is a very unattractive city.
