Athens is the closest you’re going to get to a consensus of being the best town in the league, and I’ve been there for a game and agree that it is.

I've been to Athens twice. It was ok. I prefer Oxford.

I’ve been there for two games with LSU. Nicest little town I’ve been to of all the SEC schools.
The stadium was meh. But the town was nice.

I know this is 100% bullshite troll, but one thing he hits on is the Myers Quad where Gamdeday sets up when they come to Athens is the furthest most remote quad on disjointed South Campus. I could see how a first time visitor without any local friends could judge their experience based on Myers Quad on South Campus as being low grade. For future reference, set up and or hang out north of the stadium. And downtown is right there.

I haven’t traveled to every sec venue but I enjoyed Athens, Auburn, Florida somewhat, Alabama tolerable, ole miss and miss st are cute.
I’m sure you’ll get mixed messages about lsu as well.
