Their QB is legit. Seen him in about 6 games last year.

Good maybe great QB
Great DL
Good skill position players
Decent OL

Clemson is the only ACC team with a chance of beating them.

Miami and UNC usually have athletes at the skill positions comparable to our league.

Unless the wheels come off, they should be favored against every single opponent they have upcoming. #8 ACC champion seems about right to me.

Probably.

But not extremely or anything. Still a ranked team and top15 wouldn't seem terrible.

I bet there are many others over-ranked worse and nobody knows it yet.

Every team is overrated unless they beat aggy, AMIRITE? If they happen to pull off that monumental feat then they either deserve their ranking or it's too low. (Tu being the lone exception)

I think they are capable of beating any team in the country.

I also think they are capable of losing to any other team in the Top 14 (sorry for the cut off, Oklahoma).

We're 3 weeks into the season. With their schedule we won't really know about Miami until after their trip to Louisville, and even a win over them and Cal might not tell anyone much.

As of now, I'd expect them to have a bye in the CFP as the ACC champs.

Unfortunately I watched the whole UF/Miami game. Their O-line is going to be a problem for anyone. They also have a qb that is mobile and accurate. They have the benefit of a soft scheduled but yes they are legit. I see them easily making playoffs and making a run.

Isn’t that why we play the season, to decipher who actually is the best based on a full body of work.

Polls prior to mid - October are useless, always have been useless, and are pretty meaningless.

So in your mind you have 8 teams exactly over them. You're worried about one spot this early in the season?

On top of that Oregon has seemed shaky to start, while Miami is straight up manhandling teams. Missouri played what I consider to be a decent, but not great BC team close.

In short, if they are overrated it is not by much as of this moment and they definitely have a good case for where they are.

Miami over the past couple of decades has been one of those teams that, even when they were supposed to be good, never really looked like they actually knew what they were doing.

They look like they know what they're doing this year.

You think Oregon is better than Miami? Have you seen them play this year?

They beat the hell out of Oregon State and beat a decent/good BSU team.

Miami's opponents have been shite.

That being said, there's no excuse for Oregon beating Idaho by 10 at home.
