Duke's good. So many young players that it was a mystery how much they'd improved over the season with their conference schedule.

That said, I think any team left could beat them even if Duke would probably be favorites.

They're just a very bad matchup for Alabama -- like Florida -- since Alabama's injuries (Wrightsell, Mallett and the hobbled Derrion Reid) were specifically to the longer perimeter players you count on in those matchups.

I think Duke would beat Bama 9 out of 10 times.

It was a two point game for a lot of the time from about 7 minutes left on. Dude threw up a prayer 3 from almost half court with shot clock running out that was really the dagger.

Gents ... Kentucky beat them. On a neutral court.

Yes - your team can beat them too.

Since I'm not really a fan of Florida or Auburn, I'd be just as happy to see Auburn burn it down and take home a natty.

I’d rather root for Hezbollah than see Auburn win at a game of tiddlywinks.
Hopefully Michigan State pulls the upset today.

Right now though Duke has looked amazing. Tennessee still has to get past Houston and they’re favored but I’d love to see Zakai vs Flagg. That would be a genuine David vs Goliath matchup.

I’m not sure Tennessee has a single player that would start for Duke and that includes Ziegler.

Look at the mock drafts: they all have Proctor and James about Ziegler.

But setting that aside the issue with Duke is their perimeter size: 6’6/6’6/6’7.

They took away any easy looks for Bama and bullied the undersized guards in the paint and on screens.

Anyone can win on a given night, but there’s a reason Duke is rated 3 points higher than any college basketball team in history right now by Ken Pom.

The two teams capable of hanging with them are AU and UF, but neither of them are playing at peak right now IMO.

I'm sure anyone still playing could beat them, but it's going to be a very hard thing to do.

Yesterday seemed like the chance was there- Cooper Flagg played relatively poorly and it seemed like Bama got in his head some. But they still controlled the game the entire way, and pulled away late to win by 20. Sure, you could say in a rematch, Bama shoots better; you could also say in a rematch Flagg drops 30 on them and doesn't throw the ball away a few times, then go commit fouls afterwards.

So going forward- is Flagg going to have another subpar game? If the answer is no, then they'll be even tougher than they were against Bama.

We definitely peaked in the SECT. Very lucky that we didn't lose in the 2nd round.

I think they will have their hands full with State. State pummeled Michigan twice this season.

They did have a bad shooting night but even a good shooing night and they would have still lost.
They were never going to have a great shooting night against Duke.
What killed them though, was their achilles heel and that is poor defense.

Last meeting Florida beat Bama by 22 on a neutral floor. Duke beat Bama by 20. Shot sighted mentality

Florida and Duke are the best teams but don’t sleep on Houston.
If Allbarn somehow wins today, they will be the worst of the final four teams.

Goodness man it’s a good thing you aren’t an actual player for Auburn. You’ve accepted defeat before you even get to them
