Honest question. Looking at those three schools, when has basketball not been more successful than their football programs? It’s very rare to find a season from these three schools where the football team was more successful than the hoops teams. It is what it is.

Almost fricked around and lost to a big 12 team

Kinda scary to think of him getting ahold of a school that has ample recruits in its state.
Ill say this he has the most punchable face in the SEC

Ohio St had only 1 player opt out in Harrison. they did have players out injured from the season and some who were transferring out. The onky starter transferring was their QB who Buckeye fans ran out. Their next QB the ones the fans wanted got knocked out of the game on a sack. The bullshite peolpe repeat about OSU have loads of players sit out is bullshite. As Joseph Goebbels said about big lies," if repeated often enough, will be believed by the masses,". Mizzou had no opt outs and 2 starters out with injury on defense, both drated that year. If you had watched the game Mizzou dominated the line of scrimmage vs the OSU OLine who had 1 tackle injured and the other 4 were starters.

He gets more cream puffs on his schedule than anyone else. They lost to the only 3 ranked teams they played last year.

Ohio State had 14 players opt out of the Cotton Bowl against Missouri, with key players like quarterback Kyle McCord and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. among them. Players either transferred out of the program or declared for the NFL draft, leading to a significant number of absences for the Buckeyes in the bowl game.
Key Ohio State Opt Outs:
Kyle McCord: The starting quarterback entered the transfer portal.
Marvin Harrison Jr.: The star wide receiver opted out on the day of the game to prepare for the NFL draft.
Other Notable Absences:
Several other players skipped the game due to heading to the NFL draft or entering the transfer portal, totaling 14 players.
Result:
Ohio State lost the Cotton Bowl to Missouri, 14-3, with the large number of opt-outs cited as a significant factor in the game.
But it was only 1 player.

Yea Drink gave up the play calling and the team started playing better. However that's a huge plus for him IMO. Most coaches are stubborn and refuse to change they'll run a program into the ground just so they can do it their way. I don't think the defense is good enough to win 10 games and make the playoffs this year though.

Straight from AI, I saw the same when I googled it. This opt outs INCLUDE the transfer portal guys of which McCord was the only starter. They were down Harrison who opted for the draft and McCord whio transferred the others were not starters.

He will be insane at a good program someday. Mizzou has a ceiling kinda like Ole Miss.

Twice in the last 18 years they were ahead or tied in game to go to the BCS Championship.

False. He was 5-5 his first year at Mizzou.

Mizzou beat TN and K State in 2023. Those were the only good teams.
Ohio St didn’t give a shite about that Cotton Bowl some kid Kienholz played QB.
the kid named kienholz played because their starter got sacked like four times in ten drop backs and was knocked out of the game early in the second quarter

Its impressive what he's been able to do for sure. I'd prob take him over every SEC coach except for Smart, Huepel, Sark, Kiffen

Strength of record considers teams to which you lost, as well, which is with UGA and LSU propping that up for Mizzou.
K State and Tennessee were the only "good" wins in 2023 for Mizzou in the regular season.
W vs #15 K State (Final #18)
W @ #24 Kentucky (Final Unranked)
W vs #13 Tennessee (Final #17)
L vs #23 LSU (Final #13)
L # #2 UGA (Final #4)
Other SEC wins:
@ Vanderbilt (losing record)
vs USCe (losing record)
vs UF (losing record)
@ Arkansas (losing record)

and best OOC win for the SEC in ‘23.
Are we counting a meaningless bowl game as the best OOC win or are we saying that K State is the best OOC win, which I guess is technically correct in a year where the SEC dropped a lot of OOC regular season games?
