I think he does.
Can you imagine being a Heisman voter and seriously trying to decide between JJ McCarthy and Jayden Daniels? It's not even close IMO.

Depends on what Jayden does this Saturday against Georgia State.

Right or wrong, the Heisman voting process is very political and very regionalized. I just don’t see Daniels winning it, whether he is deserving or not.
Well if it’s as regionalized as you say, wouldn’t that hurt Nix and Penix who come from the SAME REGION?

Not going to happen with a 3 loss team. Caleb got it last year because of all the USC is back hype

Beating Florida and leaving him in to stat pad does nothing for voters .
What a fricking idiot you are. The Florida game was a one score game until halfway through the fourth quarter. If LSU were trying to stat pad with Daniels he would have actually touched the field in the second half against Army and Grambling. And they wouldn’t have a crap load of rushing TDs from the running backs.

If Daniels had one big win to hang his hat on I would be more likely to go with him.
This is true. I can not think of Daniel’s “Heisman Moment”. The one superhuman play that a Heisman voter who just watches the highlights sees and says “yes, that is the best player in the country.” He also doesn’t have any big game winning plays. He hasn’t pulled victory from the jaws of defeat, winning a game that LSU should have lost. That is important, because lets not act like Heisman voters keep up with every game that every candidate plays in. They are casting their votes on 1) highlights, and 2) the aforementioned politics. While most LSU fans have watched almost every play that Daniels has played this year, no Heisman voters have. Most of them have seen some highlights and many watched the Alabama game. And that is what they will use to evaluate and rank Daniels on. It isn’t right, but it is.

From this thread I gathered his Heisman moment was beating a 5-7 Florida team.

Marvin Harrison Jr is probably my pick right now tho but I can be persuaded
Marvin Harrison Jr shouldn’t even win the Biletnikoff… hes not even a 1st team All American (yet)

also don’t think Malik Nabers or Thomas get enough credit
I think Nabers should be leading for the Biletnikoff Award. He has the best numbers, but they will probably give it to Marvin Harrison, Jr.

Heisman voters don’t watch every game lol. They watch highlights. I’m sure a few watch a player entire game. If they saw the Bama game, then he would be very high on the list. LSU was moving the ball on Bama and the throws he was making was ridiculous. It was only after he was knocked out that LSU could not do anything. If anything that helps his case even more.

He's the best player I've seen this year. It should be that simple

I don't know about everyone thinking he should win the Heisman but he's definitely the scariest quarterback in the country to face.
He's slippery and is accurate throwing from outside and within the pocket and is one of the more dangerous and elusive open field runners when he takes off. He's one of those rare qbs that can just as easily convert a 3rd and 25 after taking off running as completing a 30 yard pass into a tight window.
Should he win the Heisman? I'd say he probably should but not likely to due unfortunately to a historically bad defense that has lost him 3 games coupled with at least 2 or 3 other qbs on better teams having huge seasons. It would be an absolute travesty however if he isn't at the very least invited to New York as a finalist though.

His Heisman Moment was doing something no other player has done before. Throwing for 350 yards and rushing for 200 plus in one game.

yes, best player overall that I have seen this year.
