I mean this quote alone should have them furious:
Really changes everything they thought they had going for them. Do they run away from Texas again?

"They've been working on this for a minimum of 6 months, and the A&M leadership was left out of discussions and wasn't told about it."

Too much money for the same results.
This decision will be made by the bigwigs. And they like money more than kaislzerSoze1939 hates Texas.
Should be fun to watch. Just look at the last 34 hours.

Hell yea they will, and they’ll convince themselves that it’s because Texas is somehow scared of them

frick no. We were here first.
Horns are the ones knocking on our door asking for a lifeline because they fricked up their own house. We aren't going anywhere and I look forward to making UT our bitches on the biggest stage in college football.

This is an admission by the fricking longhorns that we are smarter than them.
We told them to come with us in 2010.

This is actually what happened
The A&M leadership will put up a front about fighting it but are supporting it and doing everything they can to make it happen

If they do they’ll be the only member. The good news would be that they get to call the shots. Big XII RIP.

The Big 12 will be no more after this. I could see A&M going to the B1G or Pac or ACC but we will stay in one of the Supers.
More likely though we will cut a deal with Texas, take over the SEC along with them, and start screwing over the rest of you that are screwing us today. You have no idea who you are dealing with when it comes to Texas and the amount of money, power, and influence (especially with ESPN) that they have. Combine them with OU and A&M and you won't know what hit you. The SEC as you know it will never be the same if this goes down and if you can't see that you deserve the ramming that is to come.
LSU will survive, may even get invited into the club with the sips if you kiss the ring. State, Ole Miss, Vandy, Auburn, and South Carolina are going to get mauled though. If you think Bama, UGA, UT, UF, and yourselves are big enough to stop Texas once you let them inside you are a fool, especially because in doing so you will be showing that it's perfectly fine to screw over other SEC members for a few bucks.
The current SEC doesn't care so much about how many eyeballs you bring, how much money you have, how much power you can exert with the media and politically. That changes the moment Texas joins.
Laugh today but we will laugh tomorrow because we know how this ends. Talk about how we are "scared". Fine. We know what's coming and at least have experience dealing with it. We also have political power over the sips in Texas that none of you have. You will look back in a few years and wonder what happened to the SEC you loved but it will be far too late to change it then.

Yes, us poor dumb SEC folk are too stupid to take care of ourselves and have no experience with cutthroat large conference politics. We get it.
