While we had Dooley, and the leftovers of Dooley's era, obviously indicative of what will happen going forward

What about sewanee and Georgia tech? Ga tech did far better in the sec than Mississippi state and sewanee might have too. Around 1900 sewanee had a team that went undefeated playing a game every day for 7 or 8 consecutive days. With all players playing 60 minutes on both offense and defense.

yes. the almighty quest for more and more money is fricking up the conference and college football. it ain't over. sure, the aggies have added some excitement and they are sec material but so what? dozens of other schools are also.

the fact is, LSU hardly ever plays the east teams in tiger stadium. it's like we aren't in the same conference.

it really amazes me how much people are willing to pay to watch this amateur sport. if LSU wasn't my alma matar I wouldn't give a shite.

Nobody but Mizzou fans and possibly Mike Slive think these threads are shitty.

Not me. Joining the SEC was huge for A&M. That's the truth, and we all know it.

And as an ACC fan, you might be too stupid to know this, but expansion has worked out pretty good for the SEC, too.

Nole has conference network envy. Someday you may get one, but I doubt it.

Poor ACC left in the dust by the SEC and Big 10.

This thread is probably aimed at trolling Mizzou.

Yep there it is!

Kind of hope we add OU and another school and get to 16. I think we would start rotating our divisions around just so we could play everyone sooner. There was also debate about doing away with divisions; article was on ESPN and PaWWWWWWL talked about it on his show.

In answer to your question: no. In response to another point --

-- NCAA rules require an equal number of teams in each division to have a CCG. So that would have just cost the SEC its title game.

It was a good deal but I miss the nostalgia of the pre-expansion SEC. It's like a brotherhood.

For sure.

However, Mizzou wining the East in 2 of its 4 years in the SEC really dampens the narrative and its hilarious.
