The problem with that graph is that it's going by a per capita percentage. That doesn't mean shite. Coaches don't recruit states based on the percentage of recruits of the total state population are good. They look at the overall frickin number.
If state A has 1000 kids and 500 of them are very good to elite, and state B has 100 kids and 90 of them are elite.....state A still kicks state B's arse, because despite state B having a much higher percentage of good prospects, anyone with a brain would tell you the state with 500 good players is better than the state with 90.

Ga is far ahead of Alabama in HS footbal talent.
AU is geographically lucky bec we are a short drive from both Ga and Fl.

that wasnt your point. you said there were virtually no recruits in alabama
compared to about 10 or so other states, yes. Every state is going to have a blue chipper or 2. But I'd prefer the states that have 20 of them compared to states that have 3 or 4.

I'm calling serious bullshite on that Ohio talent in that chart. Just look at where Michigan landed. Gotta be some number fudging or something.

It's OK, AU just raids the top-10 of GA to level it out.

Honest question: How successful would you say Auburn recruiting is in Florida?

I am not sure top 10, as 10 can easily be filled and also on dependent talking all time, post integration, past 10 years, etc.. its definitely up there, just depends on your criteria. I'd say top 15, for sure with many of those in that 15 being fairly equal
This. Auburn's an easy top-15 job and once you're in that group you've got everything you need to win huge on a consistent basis so exact placement really doesn't matter that much.

One thing is clear from this discussion.
Georgia and Auburn....

I would say successful considering we are an out of state school and land some highly ranked recruits out of there.

seriously do you follow recruiting outside of UGA? Alabama is consistently ranked in the top 10 as far as "blue chips" Hell they had two players in the top 10 overall last year vs GA's 1

AL regularly puts out more than 1 or 2 blue chippers
Do they put out more than CA, TX, GA, FL? No.
What about LA, OH, SC..I genuinely don't know that answer.

So 1 year tells the tale eh? Why don't you look up the past 10 years and report back.

Without knowing how many we target it is tough to say. We have had some good players from there though. Recently Corey Lemonier, Wes Byrum, Onterio McCalleb, Tre Mason, Robinson Thereizie, MArcus Davis...a few other starters.

correct, they are just outside of those 4

What about LA, OH,
yes or on par. which is in stark contrast to "virtually no recruits"

I don't think so, but I think a good argument could be made for top 15.
