I like to watch triple option teams so, GA Southern and the service academies.

Grew up an Alabama fan. Both my sisters and some cousins went there. I was going to go there too but a scholarship at Troy wasn’t something I was going to turn down. At the time I thought I’d go for two years then transfer to Alabama. But fell in love with it and liked that it was closer to home and my parents condo in Destin. Stayed for my masters too. Had season tickets for football there for a few years until my daughter was around 2. My brother in law went there too. I’m still an Alabama fan but much prefer watching Troy games.

Middle Tennessee State since they are here close

East Tennessee State since they brought back football and were my alma mater #1, UT-Knoxville being #2, and USC (Southern Cal) being #3

I once went to Legion Field and watched Sothern Miss and a young Bret Favre's beat a good Bama defense. That loss is much easier to accept after watching his nfl career.
Stallings' first game in 1990. Team looked like it was the first football game the school had ever played.
Not to take anything away from Favre. He was a helluva gamer that day. Missed all of their Summer Camp because of a vehicle accident. Had just been released from the hospital on Wednesday before the game after having 30 inches of lower intestine removed.

It is one reason often times the best NFL QB’s come from smaller, lesser known schools
Not really and McNair was an obvious talent to NFL scouts.
Jordan Jefferson wasn't a "flop" because he was surrounded by great offensive talent and Peyton Manning was surrounded by great talent but he was also a great QB.
The only reason more "flops" are from big schools is because more are drafted. The same that almost every top 10 QB is from a big school.Rothlisburger and perhaps Carson Wentz are the exceptions but both were 1st round picks.
He'll,I thought Paxton Lunch had the tools to be a very good NFL QB and for whatever reason he isn't and could be classified as a "flop"

Samford. Grandson is a walk-on RB.

I'd forgotten all of that. I do remember losing and Farv. Stalling lost his first three games, changed the offense to a run and clock control offense. Defense stepped up and won a lot of games after that.

Yeah, got it going after the first three games. Win over ut in the sixth game was unbelievable. Bama probably didn't have a player who could have started for Tennessee.

I played at Presbyterian College. And, my daughter is currently a student there. So, I keep up with all the major sports there.

Jackson State: They're my SWAC team.
Appy State: Father in law got his undergrad from there. And frick Michigan.
UAB, Troy, Jacksonville State: Self explanatory
UTEP: Wife has a bunch of family who went there.
NAU: I have an aunt who has worked there for a long time.
By root for them I mean, "Oh, NAU beat Weber State. That's cool," when I see the score come across the ticker between plays.
I think I have a few NAU shirts somewhere but other than that I don't own anything reppin' those schools.

I went to Troy for a semester, right before I moved back to Arkansas way, way, back when, and it is a fine school with a great love of football.
I rarely get a chance to watch them play but I will when I can.

I cheer for a few teams outside of UF as long as them winning doesn't hurt UF(or they aren't playing UF obviously)
USF - Lived in Tampa for a long time, so went to their games.
Nebraska - I respect their fan base
Louisville - Born there.
Wichita State in basketball
Also always cheer for the underdogs in general when playing non SEC teams.
