Do you REALLY think the CFP should go to 8 teams?

I’m in the hell no camp.

The only reason to go to 8 is to chase the upset storyline.

Even with 8 teams, A&M would still opt out…

Yes but don’t count on A&M showing up to play in that either

I go with yes. Only because I’d like to see some other P5 teams in it that have the potential for an upset. Cinci isn’t a good representation of an expansion IMO.

Yes. I think a healthy Ole Miss, Oregon, Oklahoma State could do well. Baylor is more deserving than Cincinnati. Until we have more balanced leagues, you need more playoff teams.

If playoff goes to 8 teams, why would Alabama and UGA not decline to play in SEC championship this year?

Yes. There are 3 or 4 teams that could do better than Cincinnati. Georgia and Michigan can both be beat. Nobody is dominant this year.

Would be a tough decision for A&M if they got in.

It only opens the door for needless early round injuries to affect the games that would have occurred in a 4 round playoff

The vast majority of the 4 team playoff semifinal games have been blowouts.

But there should be no rematches, if you dont win your conference you shouldnt be eligible. Make conference championships matter.

heck yeah it should. I like the 12 team but 8 is good, you do the each P5 champs, best of the G5 champs and 2 best at large teams

Prob will be the only shot for A&M to make a playoff.

Sure as hell would be easier but I still think 8 makes for more blowouts while the networks hope for the upset at the expense of injuries that shouldn’t be happening.
