I want the committee to decide if conference championships matter or not. If they decide they do, then Bama should be left out. If they decide they don’t, we need to stop playing them.

You thought that Bama had the better team in 2011? That is a weird shift what what i've seen on this board.

GD I hate people. Have you paid literally any attention the last 5 years?

conference championships do matter, in fact that matter a whole frick ton of a lot. If you don't win your conference, you need a shite ton of help (in the form of multiple losses) by others. Of 20 playoff teams, 18 have won their conference. Teh only 2 that got in without that only did so becuse the others they were competing with had 2 losses.

No. Simply because if you can lose your division and go to the playoff anyway then its actually IN THEIR FAVOR to lose the game because they get an extra bye. No risk of a loss, injuries, extra week to prepare. Its bullshite.

How? What's the point of the SEC game if you still go anyway? I'd rather have lost and have the week off. A hard football game against a good team carries all kinds of risks both injuries and outcome.

I never said that. I thought LSU was the better team and that A1bama hadn’t done enough to deserve a spot in the NCG, but that was a nail biter of a game.

Not like this one where there was no doubt which team was better

Oh idk...TO WIN AN SEC CHAMPIONSHIP!??

You don't go anyway you dolt. In the playoff era it's only happened once and it ONLY happened beacuse ohio state had 2 losses, 1 of which was to an atrocious iowa team. Window lickers you don't seem to grasp that unless the rest of the field is deeply flawed that a 1-loss non-champion is not getting into the playoffs. You just think with your "bama free pass" emotions.

that's because you're basically retarded.

So then why are we talking about the possibility of leaving a 12-1 conference champion out in favor of an 11-1 non-conference champion? Seems like if this was such a closed case as you have described, we shouldn’t even be having this discussion. Yet here we are....

Exactly. The dude has so much blood in his pants that he doesn't even know why he's mad anymore. Doesn't seem to even know what's being discussed.

kinda like how flat earthers and anti-vaxxers are out there still having their discussions. Doesn't mean they have any merit..

Alright then.

I expect to see you in all the Bama threads calling them idiots when they say they deserve to be in over a 1 loss conference champion.

You know, since you know it could never happen.

WG Dawg has been posting this stuff for about a month now (and is absolutely right).

He's making a general point - he's not crafting his argument to pick at a fanbase. It's a thing that exists, I swear.

I've laid all my facts out here: LINK apparently it is too fact-laden for people to post in though and they'd rather say "1 loss bammer is in cuz tua was hurt!!!" and other mindless drivel.

The facts are what they are..if the other conferences hold serve bama is out. As is penn state. It's not just my bias or opinion, it's literally the black and white data on what has happened every year the playoffs have existed. Sorry if you can't take the time to look up 5 seasons worth of history and instead want to rely on some sort of "free pass" drivel.

Yea.. Except there are Bama fans and people in the media already starting the political campaign to argue for Bama at 4. They are starting it now. Not after the required chaos has happened. So WG is being an idiot in this thread because that's clearly what we are talking about.
"Tua was injured " "They came back and almost won". Its already starting and its bullshite.
