This had more to do with team chemistry than talent.

but the entire system is relatively low cost.

What?

At most P5 school the Athletic Department s cut a check to the school for the full cost of tuition along with the full of housing, food etc for every schololorship.Lets not forget tudors, training facilities and better medical care/ insurance than many in the real world.Lets also not forget COA stipends as well.

There's absolutely NO WAY the could afford
all this if you paid em a salary of 75k.

Nothing is low cost these days with higher
education.

you are right, they have a job and that scholarship they accepted is a contract that comes with stipulations that compensates them for that job by paying their tuition...

Maybe for a few teams. I watched a lot of XFL, and dude, the net talent just wasn’t there. A lot of the players were players that went undrafted.

They aren’t bad, and they are all impressive athletes in their own rights, but their inability to perform to the level of the teams gunning for the CFP speaks for itself.

Don’t get me wrong, XFL teams could beat 2019 CFB teams, but that’s only due to conditioning, age, experience, and practice amount.

That they are not allowed to negotiate or go to a competing league that doesn’t offer a shitty form of compensation

They built all of those teams in like month, there was no chemistry.

You’re right, because they spend all of the money they get. Things like gaudy stadium improvements, 5 million dollar coaches, AD administrators that probably don’t do shite (or sleep with coaches - Arkie, Florida), the nicest offices on campus for the AD, etc.

Do you not think it’s slightly odd that a lot of college stadiums are nicer than NFL ones?

How is that statement wrong?

You think any of those QBs were better than Burrow?
Hell, even the WRs better than LSU’s WRs?

Naw, man. The XFL is a tertiary league below D1.

You go to the XFL because you didn’t make NFL and can’t stay in the NCAA past 4 years.

My guess is the cancellation all of a sudden is due to the MLB falling apart. CFB would be less safe than MLB.

NBA and NHL can take measures that public universities just can’t do.

You really believe this? Come on. This is 100% trying to make Trump look bad by blaming him for loss of CFB. It is no coincidence that this happens that day after he signs EO to help Americans.

The SEC gave up millions to make Trump look bad.
Alabama education at work here.

It also came after another MLB outbreak, so I can use fallacious causation->causation too!

they are allowed to accept or refuse the scholarship offer are they not? Yes they are...if they don't like the terms of that scholarship they are welcomed to accept another offer from another school or go to a school of their choice as a walk on and pay their own way...

Negotiating your own terms comes when you earn your way into the NFL...

Title IX is only a federal law. It would be fairly trivial to amend it to allow inequitable financial compensation beyond typical scholarship packages for revenue generating programs.

Which are all restricted by laws and NCAA rules from actually offering anything different.

Since when? I'll take MCB or TIAA in Jacksonville over Sanford stadium ANY day.
Bench seating vs an individual seat? Horrible, unpaid volunteers working concession vs paid help? Restroom facilities? You have no idea what your
talking about.

You're the one who brought up paying these guys a salary. I was pointing out how much is spent on these guys. Its NOT low cost.

How much you wanna pay these guys? Does everyone get the same salary in every sport?
