I lived in HSV for a few years. Auburn fans have Bama friends. Bama fans have Auburn friends. Some friends have habits that you just don't like that you choose to ignore. Auburn fans seemed to hate that their Bama friends loved Bama and visa versa. It was sort of a "we'll just agree that we disagree on this one and move on."

I don't necessarily hate them because they are Auburn fans. I do know some Auburn fans that I fricking detest though. Mostly I just think they are kind of weird and cultish. Not like Jim Jones cultish...more like Scientology cultish

I think the hate peaked during the '08 season when you could sense the momentum picking up for them, and Auburn was going through the Franklin debacle. By the time '09 hit and they won, it was just kind of like "Well...motherfricker, that sucks.

I have a bunch of friends that are Auburn fans, and I was genuinely happy for them. Their BCS win didn't really change my feelings for any of their fans, even the idiots.
