establish the fullback and then exploit the QB keep or pitch or toss

then in the 4th quarter, keep giving it back to the fullback and he's a bull in a china shop for 9 yards almost ever carry

they ain't ready for any of it

dipshit Gen Z's don't understand any of it, except the ones playing it

I went to a D2 school (Angelo State) and I loved it.

I’d watch 1A ball all day and then head to an in person game at night vs Directional Oklahoma or a random Texas A&M branded temu chool and have a blast.

and after Harding was ranked number two all year, they flipped the ranking and made Harding number three, and Kutztown number two all the sudden

so they made Harding travel 1100 miles to Kutztown instead of the other way around

and Harding did the travel and then kicked Kutztown's arse

Delayed flight had then traveling for 12 hours. Got in at 10:00 the night before the game.

what year?

Mom was '79 and Dad took his sweet arse time although he was older. '80 for him.

If I wouldn't have gotten into UGA I would have been at VSU.

I've said this before, but my dad is from GA and my mother is from FL. Back then, VSU (VSC when my parents were there) offered in state tuition for the counties in FL close to Valdosta, so my mom went there. My mother's side of the family are all Gator fans, so the WLOCP is more of a family rivalry to me than Georgia vs. Tech.

Harding runs a hybrid wing t that's a lot of fun to watch. I moved from Fayetteville to the Rock a few years ago, and don't usually have the time to get up there for Hogs games. So I've been known to pull out whatever black and gold clothes I have available and roll up to Searcy for some football. If you can actually get a seat, playing "find the ball" is a lot of fun. (and pretty hard)

At one time, Harding was in the Gulf South along with Valdosta State. Harding and the other Arkansas schools split off to form the GAC.

When they were all in the GSC, Arkansas Tech was the only team that was a playoff contender. After they split, Harding and Henderson State suddenly became good.

Harding, of course, won a championship a few years ago.

It was wild back in the old days with VSU being the only Air Raid team in the conference. The option was more prevalent. UWA ran the flexbone. UNA won three national championships running a version of the I-bone.

VSU was doing that when I was in school there from '96-'98.

VSU was absolutely the perfect place for me.

Damn

Huge Texas A&I fan when I was younger. Several family members played there. There are times when I wish I would have went the D2/D3 route and tried to play. I could have done the normal college student thing later.

Montana State's QB and RB are great college players. Love watching that team.

My Orthopedic surgeon was a wide receiver for Harding.

I used to live in the Shoals area in NW Alabama and knew many UNA players. Cody Gross is the coach of my local high school, have known him for years - he won three Div II championships as the QB of UNA back in the early 90's.

Have a nephew that started freshman through junior year at a highly rated DII school over the past three years and really enjoyed watching that level of play. He’s got some FBS and FCS offers so in the portal now. I like the new DII playoff format with no byes and wish FBS could adopt it in some form. No conference championship games, either.

Nice! Good luck to him!

Arkansas got the Hillsdale (Michigan) kid and now he's a fan favorite for the Detroit Lions

Gulf South Conference is not called SEC Lite for nothing. Some excellent football is played in that league and they have had a number of guys play on Sundays over the years.
