They have Bill Self on a recording and he sat for two games….so I don’t think it matters. Roy Williams and Coach K were the biggest cheaters along with Cal and Self. They make Wade look like a choir boy.

Nope. Not very many. But I was. They used to give you a booklet if you scored well enough. That's how it worked back in the 80's.
You got HUGE money ... up to $25K per year depending on where your family worked and your major. But that was the point.
If either Mom or Dad worked a GM Plant back then ? Pretty much all expenses paid ... as long as you attended Engineering at a Big10 School.
Yet GM was never accused of "running money". Those Shoe Company guys that went to the Federal Pen ? Absolute bullshite.

Yes. It was an academic scholarship. As far as I know, the National Merit Scholarship never tried to steer me to a school because someone had paid them a bribe.
