LSU will likely have 9 guys in the first two rounds. Now will it mean anything as a team with Miles still as our coach?....

Well no, obviously it isn't still reeling, the majority of momentum since the bowl game has been positive

obviously talks of a national/SEC championship is high optimism, but with the D almost guaranteed to be elite next year, LSU fans can have some hope that Harris might progress just enough to get LSU over the hump and become an overall elite team again

Pocic won't be at center next season.

That kind of talent is going to win you a LOT of games.

Honestly, aside from Alabama, what team matches up on paper from a talent perspective?

Pocic was beat up on the entire game against our defensive linemen. He isn't a 1st round pick.

1 game is definitely the harbinger of an entire career. Fournette will also likely be undrafted b/c of that game.

He did get fricking trucked on that play, but he played well otherwise in those 3 games.

Averaged 10 tackles, had a sack and some pass breakups. LSU will miss him.

Pocic came back because he is projected as a top level tackle prospect. He was the only guy they trusted at center to make the calls

It is a pretty big deal when guys are looking for tape of your success one-on-one against NFL quality players.

Fournette wasn't able to run because guys like Pocic were getting manhandled up front.

He's 6-7. He has no business playing center, IMO.

Dude's going to be a tackle in the NFL.

No it's not even half true. We're 16-3 in October the last 5 years. We have struggled in November the last 2 years but the 3 before that were either 4-0 or 2/3-1.

So you're about 20% correct. That's an improvement for you so i'll give you daps

And a pretty good one that will get drafted early. I just don't think (or see anywhere in projections) that he is going to be a Top 30 pick.

But hey, maybe he will and LSU will have 6 first round picks in 2017.

How does anyone respond to such a statement claiming 4-5 first round draft picks off a team that finished 4th in the SEC west?

Encountering this type of illusion is not unusual. The apparent lack of understanding about the talent in the rest of the world is rampant.

I really don't like our strategy playing guys out of position on the offensive line. Putting Posic at Center would be like putting Andrew Whitworth there. I know it's an important spot, just recruit a true center or at the very least only move natural guards into that sport as opposed to tackles.

There's no tape on him at tackle, so I don't see how he could be projected any higher than the 3rd round right now. If he plays tackle for LSU, he will move into the 2nd, possibly the 1st if he's as good as some people seem to think.

Don't let the delusional trick you into believing this is the popular opinion among LSU fans.
