If LSU truly does have a 1st round pick at : RB, WR, LT, DL, LB, S, CB.............they sure as hell better win 11 games this year or Miles truly does need to be shown the door.

No it's not even half true. We're 16-3 in October the last 5 years. We have struggled in November the last 2 years but the 3 before that were either 4-0 or 2/3-1.

So you're about 20% correct. That's an improvement for you so i'll give you daps
You don't have to lose to get a reality check. Struggling to beat inferior teams in October gives one a dose of reality, but as usual L5U fans are blind to anything that isn't pure sunshine. Spin as you will though.

Fournette, adams, White, Beckwith, and/or Pocic.....what is so illogical about that?

LSU Alabama will probably be epic this year.

It is most years, it just seems Alabama finds a way to win it.

How does anyone respond to such a statement claiming 4-5 first round draft picks off a team that finished 4th in the SEC west?

2016 LSU finished 4th in the West? Do you have the lotto numbers? I assume you won the billion, right? Why are you posting here and not out on a beach somewhere?

Nothing, most talented team in America. Should be the favorite to win the league.

2012,2013,2014 and 2015 all fit that description. Go back and check the w-l columns. Check the stats of the close games played in October that LSU should have dominated. Stop with the being blind to all things that don't pump LSU up. Its sad.

I mean...I don't think any rational person will deny that LSU will be one of the most talented teams in the country next year

it all kind of rides on Harris's progression

I don't know why y'all get so butthurt about optimism

I just don't see how posting those 5-6 guys as top 30-40 into next season is illogical. I didn't say Miles was going to win with those guys now lol

Butthurt? Naw, not at all, it's just interesting to see the best possible scenario expected for 10-12 guys on the roster , especially after the last few years. That's all.

we've heard all of this before.

Damn, it's as if the SEC didn't have THREE teams with multiple national titles this millennium - with LSU being one of them.

It's not like we're Vandy fans talking about winning the NC. (No offense, Vandy fan.)

Will be 1st rounders.

CB, WR

2nd round, at worst. Could be late 1st rounders.

LT

Unknown. Could be anywhere from 3rd to 1st.

DL

Godchaux is the only one with top 2 round talent.

years in which we lost loads of juniors to the draft? obviously not the same thing. How DARE fans of a team returning 18 starters and bringing in a top 2 recruiting class be optimistic!!

Rational fans aren't expecting LSU to have 10 AAs. Just individuals improving from 2015. If they do, LSU will have a seriously stacked draft class.

And 2017 will suck

I mean, you guys had an NFL QB, two NFL RBs, two top level NFL WRs, a few years ago and you lost 3 games, including getting pummeled by us in Tuscaloosa. This isn't exactly the first time you have had a lot of really good players returning.

Again, you should be optimistic, you have a bunch of good players coming back. I just don't quite get expecting each one of them to perform at the peak possible performance level they could. It seems like a recipe for disappointment. But hey, should be a really good team.
