Too bad we can't trade an RB for a couple of your LBs.

Does it matter barring some awful injury or event Bama will win the West and Georgia will win the East

we will likely take a small step back next year due to defensive losses but will still be pretty formidable. 2019 and onward we should be outstanding.

The challenge will be early in the season as the team builds experience (linebacker mostly).

If we get through the early tests unscathed, we should be pretty tough by the end of the year.

@South Carolina
@Missouri

Those are the biggest concerns.
I'm liking our chances against @LSU, Gators, and Auburn at home.

How many years it takes for Jimbo to beat O? I’d say within the next 3 years. (If O is here the long). Or beat LSU in general?

UGA has the Oline of the future.
Best every talent wise I have seen at UGA in my life time.

LT former High 4* Army All American
LG former Low 4*, 5* and future starter reports this summer
C former mid 4* DT 2nd year starter
RG former high 4* Army All American
RT former 5* Under Armour All American

With big time 4 and 5 stars backing them up. We got some dudes on the line that will be here for a few years

Out of curiosity, where do you think Florida will make up the 35 points we beat them by this past season? They still don't have a proven QB. They lost a decent amount off their defense. They will have a first year head coach. I mean, they should have a better season, but that's a lot of ground to make up.

That one is missing because truth be told, no one wants to play that one, particularly in Death Valley.

No offense, but I am not overly concerned with that game.

I think AU will take a step back. The defense should be just as good, but the offense is going to struggle.

I think you're underestimating our chances.

Major step back at RB: this has been the case every season since 2013 - even last year we didn't know if Pettway would return to his 2016 form (he didn't) or if KJ was durable to take over as our #1 back (he was, until he got hurt in the IB). We'll be fine.
No standout WR (still) and injury issues: This could be a problem if Stove and Hastings can't return, but there's plenty of thus-far underutilized talent. 2nd year with Stidham/Lindsey should help.
Big losses on Oline: Our OL wasn't that great in '17, and we still managed 10 wins and a very productive offense. Grimes' return is the wild card - Hand had plenty of doubters, so it will be interesting to see if the new guys show improvement.

Ultimately it's up to the 49 Million Dollar Man to prove that he's the aggressive, take-no-prisoners guy he seemed to be against UGa and Bama, and not the play-it-safe-with-a-9-point-lead guy who let LSU off the hook.

I hope so. Gotta get Coach O that contract extension.
