1: Urban had more success in his time at Florida than any program in the country. He won two national titles, three BCS bowl, two SEC titles, three SEC west title and a 48-7 record from 2006-2009. He was the best at what he did while at UF. He was also what, 4-2 against Miles?

No one catch this?

Seriously, how does a little over one decade give a fanbase so much hubris? Pror to Saban's arrival at LSU, your program had won three conference titles in the previous 40 years. Your program was below A&M's in all-time success.

Provide evidence of this.

I was gonna start in 1960, but I'll go ahead and go back to 1939 to factor in both school's national titles and Heisman winners and make it an even 60 years. Neither team did much before that anyway.

From 1939-1999...

LSU:
1 national title
5 conference titles (3 outright)
.632 winning percentage
21 seasons finishing in the AP top-25
13 bowl wins
1 Heisman Trophy winner
14 consensus All-Americans

Texas A&M:
1 national title
14 conference titles (12 outright)
.619 winning percentage
12 bowl wins
23 seasons finishing in the AP top-25
1 Heisman Trophy winner
19 consensus All-Americans

And all of that considering that A&M spent almost 30 years of the period in question as an all-male service academy.

Much of it is very similar, with LSU holding a slight edge in winning % and bowl wins while A&M had more all-americans and more top-25 finishes. The most obvious difference is the HUGE difference in conference championships, with A&M having nine more over the period.

The only category in which LSU holds a distinct advantage over the time period is head to head wins, but most of the advantage was derived from our dark years that started when everyone left for the war and didnt recover until the late-60s when we became a more traditional school. Since 1970 A&M leads the series 10-9.

LSU fans acting like they've always been an elite program is one of the great lies in all of American sports.

Would love to see how this would go if someone would start a thread titled this.

The SEC was largely a three team league for decades until Spurrier arrived at Florida in 1990, and LSU wasnt one of the three. Until the 90s the SWC was traditionally just as if not more competitive, with Texas, Arkansas, A&M, TCU, SMU and Houston all having very strong runs at one time or another.

Jesus, you've gotta be an Arky troll just trying to make mizzou look bad. Especially after the beating the mizzou fanbase has been taking on these boards lately.
