Nerding out about a stat you posted in the same post is pretty lame.

SEC single-season leaders ypc
1. Percy Harvin
2. Felix Jones
3. Onterio McCalebb
4. Tommy Lorino
5. Damien Harris
I'm not sure what their minimum carry number is (it says 300, but that's incorrect). It's a bit of an arbitrary stat; most of the guys at the top were not true feature backs.
Additional note: Santonio Beard comes in at #8.

Yeah, neither Harvin nor McCalebb were true RBs.
Felix Jones was a goddam beast.
Auburn has 3 of the top 6 single-season leaders in ypc by your link.

Sec record book has two single season ypc categories. One for 200 minimum, one for 100.
Chubb tops the 200 category with 7.06 in 2014.
Jones tops the 100 category with 8.74 in 2007.
It’s possible that Harris overtakes Jones.

It should be noted that Brent Fullwood played at the same time as Bo Jackson for Auburn and had a better ypc average.
He was also a giant bust in the NFL.

He still has Auburn to play. I would be surprised if he gets many touches against Mercer.

One of my favorite SEC players to watch. Congrats to Derrius

Playoff games played in:
Harris: 5
Guice: 0
Did he play on special teams in 2014 and 2015 because he certainly didn't get any touches in those three games, although I'm not quite sure how that's relevant

Back then, it seems like you got your 80-90 ypg and coach yanks you. Now backs run for 200+ and are still in the game.
huh? running backs were used a lot more back then, not less

Looking for the article on Harris breaking records held by people like Bo. Tuscaloosa says Harris > Guice, trying to verify. TIA.
This part of your post didn’t work out like you had planned, did it?

By the way, just as an aside, in his senior season at Auburn, Fullwood rushed for 1391 yards and averages 8.3 ypc. I wonder if that might be the SEC season ypc record?
8.3 ypc... holy shite. Herschel Walker's dick shrivels at the very thought.
In the official record books, the SEC requires 200 carries. The record holder is Nick Chubb from 2014 at 7.06, second is JFF in 2012 at 7.01, and 3rd is Jeremy Hill in 2013 at 6.9.

Kinda like Felix Jones and Darren McFadden.
Only difference being that Fullwood made more Pro Bowls than Jones and McFadden combined.

Auburn under Dye, save for Bo's senior season, always rotated a ton of RBs.

McFadden has more NFL rushing yards than Bo Jackson and Brent Fullwood combined :)
Felix Jones has more rushing yards than Bo or Brent.
Bo Jackson, Brent Fullwood and myself all have the same number of 1,000 yard rushing seasons in the NFL.

I was pretty confident it would be another iteration of the usual for these kind of posts =)
Harris is a great back. If Saban ran him more, he'd have better stats. His ypc would come down though. It always does when the defense truly focuses on stopping a guy.
Who is truly better, who knows? Harris hasn't been a featured back, and until he does that, it is apples to oranges to compare them. I will say this though, Guice has an SEC rushing title. Harris does not. Guice will in all probability be a 1st round pick. Harris will have to do a LOT more to be thought of that way.

Not saying Harris is better than guice but to even compare guice to bo is insane. Not same area code.

If y'all want to compare today's RBs to Bo.... then call Bo and ask his opinion.
But to say one is better than then based on 100, 200 or 300 carries is splitting hairs and a waste of time.

Which is dumb, as Fullwood was 6th in Heisman voting that year and had just shy of 1400 yards rushing.
