No way Dennis Riddle, who was a good back, should have been seeing the field ahead of Alexander. no way.

Houston Nutt didn't do McFadden any favors running him into a stacked box for three years at Arkansas.

According to rumor Stallings didn't like the effort Alexander put out as a freshman in practice and made him pay for it on game day.

I can live with it. He was a stud in college and the pros.

Posters on here don't understand how good he was and how he had to carry those Arkansas teams due to lack of surrounding talent.

What I most remember about Arkansas football is fumbling away an SEC title to Tennessee but McFadden was very good

Do you remember a guy named Brian Steiger? I’m pretty sure that is his name. Played at Bama in the 90’s. He played like one season and I never seen him again. Guy was gonna be really good but he just disappeared. I Never did hear why he left.

Yes, the score was also 38-3. The game was over and the players didn't care at that point.

Yes eighty something yards on one play when the game was over, sixty yards the rest of the game. Chubb was not a threat.

Georgia probably lost the 2 and 26 game because they played Chubb so much instead of the more effective and deadly Swift.

With absolutely no passing attack. Every team played 8-9 in the box against Arkansas during the McFadden, Jones, Hillis, years

McFadden played on teams of 4-7,10-4 and 8-5.

Which is a head scratcher considering your backfield had Felix Jones, McFadden, and that big white fullback who’d run through a brick wall

I wasn’t in any kind of way trying to suggest that Henry was better than Herschel. I’d still put Herschel and Bo as best ever. 1A and 1B

He was like a walk-on or a rb that most people were recruiting as a linebacker. We got thin at running back when recruits that were thought to be solid went to other schools. Then for whatever reason Irving Spikes, "played for the dolphins" left for a smaller school. I wish he would've stuck around with Sherman Williams.

I bet if you go back and look, LSU was in 12 personnel, I-formation less than 10% of the time.

Henry had fewer carries than Herschel when he broke the record

Apparently that wasn't enough.

Mcfadden in 2006 had deal with a three QB rotation, a new OC that was one year removed from high school and only a few decent players at WR. Also he was playing through a turf toe injury and it got bad to the point he couldn't run at full speed in the bowl game.

In 2007 QB play was bad. The OC leaves for another school, one of the WRs transfers to USC and the other WR was dragging his foot during the season. Offense was the most conservative than ever and yet still almost broke 2,000 yards rushing.

Just as Bo Jackson was a freak, so is Derrick Henry. Running backs just aren't built like that guy. He is huge for an RB and once he gets rolling he was seldom if ever caught. Henry has running back instincts and footwork and I don't know if we see anyone like him again anytime soon.

Chubb was faster than Michel and Swift.
