The state of Texas is such a hot recruiting spot for schools all across the nation that it is very difficult to put a fence around it. That wasn't true in the past but you have schools like Ohio State getting players from the state which wasn't the norm in the past.

Dennis Dodd and CBS is taking the shots at them

I mean… Texas has had a similar decade to Jr.
Difference is Texas has viewed the decade as a failure.
Texas Jr. views this as their best decade ever.

At what point do you stop being a sleeping giant and officially enter the vegetative state giant?

Not on defense we don't. And even some of the "elite" offensive prospects end up struggling in the SEC because they come from one of the Texas spread video game offenses. You have to be selective in that regard.

Interesting question, when you can’t finish ranked in the 25 even 50% of the time even though you play Baylor and Kansas and TCU every single year, I’m pretty sure that was the point Dennis Dodd was making
Maybe then?

Texas has never really been that good. They have some good seasons here and there. But haven’t in a lonnnnngggg time.
They are the Big 12’s ole miss. Lots of cockiness and their fan base thinks they belong among the elite. But there just isn’t any actual evidence that they’re anything but a mediocre football program

You really should do your research first
- Neither of you have won your conference
- Neither of you have won a natty
- Both have one or two Top 10 finishes/NY6 bowls
- Both have fired coaches
Very similar decades
But they’re disappointed. You are not. Oof.

You are truly grasping at straws
This is sad for you,
