Sarge - talking about research…
There was some graphic a few years back that illustrated the drafted players compared to the recruiting rankings
There was also one that showed preseason rankings compared to final rankings
I don’t have them in front of me but they paint a sleepy picture….

Preseason #6, recruiting is going great, and y'all are still scared shitless. Never change
Posted on 8/8/21 at 10:52 am to TexasForever
And how would these records change if Texas had to deal with Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Auburn every year for the past 120 years instead of Kansas, Kansas St, Oklahoma St, Iowa St, Texas Tech and Baylor?

Shhhhhh, he's not very good at the concept of "control variables"

Nah, we aren’t the ones making threads about ancient history and Sagarin rankings, etc.
It’s just funny that Dennis Dodd is now crapping on the horns recent “achievements”
We’re all good with discussing the current team and recruiting

Scared? Please. Don’t confuse fear with wisdom.
Just because we have avoided playing you while playing in the SEC west, doesn’t mean that we are afraid of playing you. We already have to play an incredibly difficult schedule, why make it harder voluntarily when even if we beat you and lose games in our conference it doesn’t help us. It’s stupid.
With you in the conference, it’s a different thing entirely, now beating you is required to reach the objective.
It’s wisdom. Not fear.
Did we enjoy a recruiting advantage while you’re struggling with Kansas. Sure. Who wouldn’t. Does it mean we are afraid to play you if you come here.
Please. We play top ten teams every week. We aren’t afraid of you. Now if you beat Kansas and Maryland regularly, maybe that will change things.

Texas A&M vs. Big 12 overall record
(72-63) 53.3%
Texas A&M vs. SEC since joining conference
(42-31) 57.5%

Some folks have forgotten the topic:
tu has finished outside of the top 25 in 5 of the last 9 years…while playing in the Big 12 conference

A&M is also a “sleeping giant”. When lies are repeated enough people start believing them.

Texas has all the resources and Sark has the ability. You all going to sorry when it happens and glad that you hitched your wagons to UT.

Again with this bullshite. Texas has no significant advantages over 25-35 programs out there.
Get you head out of your arse.

I'd talk about having one's head up their butt. If you can not see the advantages Texas has over everyone else that your's is really snuggly up in there.

longhorns are a lot closer to Georgia tech status than they will ever admit. They have been mediocre for 50 years other than when they had Mack Brown.
Austin was once a big draw but now it is turning into a shithole and they are defunding police.
Ann Richard's isn't Governor anymore and Aggies will never again be screwed like we were in the past. Within 10 years Texas A&M will have 100,000 students on campus.

Baylor was quickly becoming A&M's daddy before they left the Big 12..That was when Art Briles first got rolling there...I'm thinking TCU would have raped you too...They feasted on some SEC teams ever once in a while, ask Ole Miss...
When your pumping your chests about these mid tier schools beating Texas, I think you Aggy dipshits forget that Patterson, Briles, and Gundy are/ were better than 80% of the head coaches in the SEC most years..

Not exactly a fair or accurate comment. Texas has not played those teams listed above for the last 120 years. Teams and generations change over the years and the Nebraskas, Oklahomas, and others of the world used to be a hell of a lot more dominant and harder to mow through each season. The comparison you're trying to make is Texas has always played the University of Kansas and maybe Texas Tech on occasion. The Big 12 went to absolute shite when A&M, Colorado, Missouri and Nebraska left 12 years ago.
Texas and much like Oklahoma will see huge benefits from being in the SEC. I believe starting now there will be a difference in recruits. There's kids that just want to play in the SEC and would never consider a big 12 school because of that. Especially defensive players. I think that'll change now. You take quality players and couple that with quality coaching and you're going to see an increase in production. Especially with the money involved that these two universities. I've always felt Texas's problem boiled down to coaching and I still do. Do I think Sark is their answer? I'm not sold on that. You take Texas's money, the talent they have at their doorstep in high schools, and put a legitimate coach in control (free from booster intimidation) and Texas should be a concern to a lot of other schools on their schedule. Only time will tell but we'll see.

This is a bad thing. frick this “everyman” A&M identity. With our endowment, A&M should be a fricking elite school. Every year they devalue my two degrees more and more. frick the BoR and frick John $harpe and Perry and everyone associated with what A&M is becoming.

I recall A&M almost putting RG3 on a stretcher his Heisman year the last time we played them.
