Yes but its all the Big10 NIL deals. They don't have a leg to stand on with making sure the contracts say they are not employees

I get it, but if you know how to play the game you make sure you are not up shite creek without a paddle! Like UW here. Hate the game, not the players. We want the rules changed to, but until then Lane will take every advantage.

Agree. Nobody should be upset about playing the game when you have to. No coach will survive with the mentality of living above the fray.
This wasn't a trash Kiffin, Williams, Washington, baylor...etc. It's just a fricked up situation.

The Baylor situation is absolutely bananas. This shows the NCAA doesnt give a F and wont do anything and that college Bball is their focus.

So ThreePalmetto posts about LSU rather than USC. Not surprised.

Kids should have to pay back a contract on which they bail. That is life and the law

Good for a college pushing back. If he signed a contract and its not an at will state (don't think Wash is) then that kid needs to be held to his contract or he needs to be penalized.

Many jobs have clauses where you must pay back sign on bonuses, compensation, etc if the employee or worker leaves early. Same should apply here. They are legal adults. If I am Wash I am taking this kid to court, LSU can help him lawyer up or he can do it out of his own pocket.
The sad part here is the only loser here by standing up is Wash as the kid is not going to likely play or will find a way to skirt the rules here (could say he has mental illness needs, disability, etc.) and still get paid and this is a major negative recruiting point against Wash which would be used.
Which sucks because they would be doing the right thing and would ultimately lose.

I will say that I do not like the fact that these kids are entering the portal already knowing where they are gonna sign. That's out of control IMO.
Doesn’t automatically mean there’s tampering involved. At least not in the legal sense if only the agents are involved to that point. That part is not going away. It’s their job.

I think all of us can agree.
You have to play the cards you are dealt, but it is absurd & we would be melting if this happened to us.

It’s cute Washington thinks they have any power here.
Just release Williams and take the big check LSU sends over

Washington does have power. They can force the kid to pay his NIL back. or have LSU do it for him.
