I'm not trying to prove anything. The facts speak for themselves. Your the one trying to prove in your mind that everything is wonderful.
I never said everything is wonderful, however you are the one implying that the SEC is racist. If you want to make that claim, you need to support it. So far all you’ve done is show that black head coaches are not well represented in the SEC. If that means the SEC is racist then it also means that college football and the NFL are prejudicial against white running backs, as there are very few of them represented in college football today.

I'm not assuming anything. I have no clue why he felt shunned. I never claimed it was racism. I never claimed the SEC is racist. I don't give a shite. But look at the SEC record. The burden of proof should be on them, not me. Something happened with Deion and FSU. I'm trying to give context on why he may have said what he said and why I don't have a problem with it. But I can see why others are bothered.

OK I got in the middle of this argument and I have no idea what you are arguing about, I thought you were claiming that FSU didn't hire Sanders because he is black. My bad.

Now this is even more confusing. What burden of proof? What are we trying to prove here?

You obviously watch too much news. You love throwing that around for some strange reason. It's actually disturbing.
I’m throwing around that term because you are exhibiting signs of supporting that dangerous ideology. Not everything we don’t like is due to racism.

It was a HUGE shock for him and his daughter. She had excellent gpa/test scores too. Maybe a clerical error but it was a HUGE kick in the face. To the university, it was a big mistake or they just don't like money. My take... there's a lot of dumb people making huge decisions.

When it comes to the education system, I totally agree with you that most of the decisions are being made by stupid people. No argument there. This is a direct result of decades of leftists turning the education system into a communist training program.

What's your point? You're trying to infer that Sanders felt snubbed because he's black? Did he say that? Did I say that?

You brought that up when defending his race card playing for some reason. Why?

Lazy man's answer: racism.

More critical response: People don't like the actions of obnoxious people unless said people are on the same team.

And therefore: Some of the things we don't like is due to racism.

I'm not sure why it's so hard to understand that even though you may have some valid reasons not to like the actions of someone, others may not have valid/reasonable reasons.

Deion isn’t stupid. He wants to win and hires the best assistant coaches he can. Prime isn’t running a quota program.

Okay, let's put it this way, Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, UGA, USC, Mizzou, and Tennessee WILL NEVER HIRE A BLACK HEAD COACH. Prove me wrong...

Uga would strongly consider Mel tucker if he began to prove his chops and Kirby decided to quit. Fran brown has that potential as well.

Racists exist and racism exists. It has always existed and it will always exist as long as sinful people roam the earth.

However there is an ideology that has gained a lot of steam recently that sees all relationships in terms of racial oppression and assumes racism is the cause of all unequal outcomes for racial minorities in society. I don’t deny that racism exists, but it isn’t the norm any longer in our culture. If racism is being asserted, the claim should be supported rather than assumed.

Not reading 10 pages or getting in an argument about race but Deion is a winner. He's won at just about everything he's done. He obviously has a high standard and I'm sure he holds his players and staff to that standard. Right now he's doing the chip on the shoulder thing and it appears to be working for his team.

Deion a cancer to anyone who knows him?
BS.

He probably wasn't hired at FSU because he had zero coaching experience outside of HS.
Deion is known to be a good guy by most.

His daughter was denied admission at said university. I don't think it was racist but it was definitely dumb. Good luck getting him to donate more money to that school.

Unfortunately, a major court case in California made it clear schools can't give preferential treatment in admissions to large donors. Nobody is going to risk going to jail and losing their livelihood over this.
Could you link something about this because I haven't seen it. Is this just for CA public universities?

I work in an industry where I've had some ultra high net worth clients and it's just a given their kids are going to Yale/Harvard/Princeton because they've been going for 3+ generations.

As for Deion - I'm pleased with Freeze thus far due to more experience and he knows how to keep everyone on the same page. Head coach is like a CEO who needs to align the team/coaches/administration/fans/boosters. The thing about being so out there like Deion is that when things go poorly, being so showy can really come back to bite you as people are rooting for you to fail.

Tennessee hired a black head coach in a major sport. The first to be hired in the SEC. Wade Houston was the HC of their basketball team.

Arkansas had a black basketball coach when they joined the SEC.

Do you have a valid argument?
