He had tough competition for the Thorpe award but ultimately anyone that watched Georgia never heard Bakers name - for good reason , when you did hear him he was usually glued to a receiver.

That's just fricking stupid good.

Like if you built a player on NCAA with 99 everything, I'm not sure you could duplicate that feat against that group of receivers

I felt like Bama would go after him just to prove a point but the only throws made at him in the Bama game Baker was all over it and they basically avoided him all game. Also something to be said for “Tua holding the ball too long” probably had a lot to do with good coverage on the back end.

Who was the DB who gave up the touchdown in the championship last year? Not trolling, I thought it was Baker?

Parrish/Sanders depending on who you want to blame... Baker was on the opposite side.

Also matched up with J'Mon Moore from Mizzou in 2007 (1k receiving yards, 4th round pick). Had 1 catch for 8 yards.

Shh don't tell Texas. Their fans think that having really tall receivers will mean that Baker can't cover them.

No it was Reggie Carter.

CB’s don’t cover fullbacks, it must have been cause he realized where the ball was going

As short as he is he finds and high points the ball extremely well.
