If Root can pitch past 4 innings, no chance.
He got absolutely shelled last time these two teams played, 7 runs on 10 hits through 3 innings.

It was the first conference series on the road for root. Ole Miss won game 1. Hopefully root gets a little revenge. Ole Miss has been playing solid ball lately. Glad we don’t have to see hunter elliot

Would have definitely preferred Elliot to stay on his normal friday slot but something tells me we probably would have lost without him. Gonna need the bats to show up today, for sure.
btw....hypothetically speaking.....any good ways to watch the game online? My old websites got nuked it looks like.

What's more important to your average SEC Baseball fan, winning the regular season or winning the SEC tourney?

Regular season by a mile. Its baseball, winning the tourney means you are decent and care about winning the tourney. I think with the new format we will have far fewer good teams just all but trying to go 0-1 to save their pitchers, now the teams that get a bye and especially the double bye teams will just be on their normal rotation so the quality of games should be much better but also the winner will probably be on average a better team than before this change. But even so winning the regular season all but guarantees a national seed, winning the tourney just guarantees you a spot in post-season.

I find it interesting that we already know that the championship game will be an SEC East team vs a West team.

Regular, but SEC Tournament is a blast and you have to win it with bullpen arms. The starters are all on pitch counts.
