How is the offense looking to change this season? I've read the general things : more open, "spread", throw to the backs more. Any big formational changes from Big Jim?

Feeling good about the promotion? Wait and see?

If he involves the tight ends and fixes the goal line, then it's a win vs. fat boy.

Wait and see. I've heard that we'll see more spread, passing, and up tempo to allow Fromm to control things at the LOS. I'll believe it when I see it though. I think Kirby likes the ball control heavy run offense.

Lmao tight ends always eat in a Big Jim Cheetos offense

I thought I had finally disavowed VOLS but here I was this morning glossing over last night’s scrimmage report

Definitely wait and see. Hopefully he will open the downfield passing game up more and do away with all the quick out passes to a receiver on the LOS.

But we'll see

It is all just talk and bs until we see it on the field. I am cautiously optimistic that we will see more creativity in the passing game. We have relied too much on back shoulder throws in the past. I want to see more middle of the field timing routes, and more of a check down option to the tight ends. We basically wasted Isaac Nauta last year.

I, like most on here, don't know but I have a feeling you will see a little more pass and a little less run, but make no mistake, UGA should remain a run to setup the pass kinda team. I doubt we shy away from that identity.

I think he will look just fine. We have a continuance of system though Coley will put his touches on it.

We have the best line in UGAs history and a stable of highly rated TBs, Swift could win a Heisman if given enough carries.

Though inexperienced start wise, WRs seem to be a strength.

TE was supposed to be a weakness but so long as Wolf can catch, the reviews are he is bigger and faster than Nauta and Woerner should be a perfect combo.

Chaney made some obvious boneheaded play calls at bad times. If we clean 50% of that up, that would be great.

I feel good.

It will possibly look more NFL (quick passes to tight ends and backs more frequently).

That isnt "more of a spread" that is bantered about other than just getting the ball out quickly on those few additional pass attempts.

I hope that we throw more on first down. Last season was about 35% throws. I would like that closer to 37-40%.

Outside of that, I hope we dont change anything.

I maintain that the offense has more or less been mostly a reflection of what Kirby wants. I doubt the core identity will change significantly, but definitely hoping for a little less predictability (particularly in RZ), TE as a more legitimate receiving target, RBs involved in the receiving game, and maybe bring back some HB Toss plays? Not sure we are likely to have big formation edits, just due to where the strengths in the personnel exist.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but definitely in "show me" mode.
